"Spit It Out" by Slipknot played in the background as the WPW Sunday Night on ESPN2 graphic comes up on the screen then fades away but not completely as a fast paced montage of WPW action including; Masato Tanaka hitting the Roaring Elbow on Mike Awesome, Al Snow smashing away at Sting's arm with a chair, Booker T drilling Kurt Angle with a Neckwrecker, The Acolytes putting Jeff Hardy through a table, the LWO beating down an opponent, Ken Shamrock with the Ankle Lock on Triple H, Mike Awesome with an Over-The-Top-Rope Awesome Bomb, Kidman pinning Ric Flair, Sting hitting the Scorpion Death Drop on Al Snow, Kurt Angle with all his gold, Chris Benoit raising the King Of Kings trophy, The Hardy Boyz with the Twist Of Fate and Swanton Bomb, Triple H hitting the Pedigree on Goldberg, Chris Jericho hitting a Lionsault on Goldberg, Goldberg spearing Jericho, Mick Foley hitting Goldberg in the head with a chair and much, much more.  The WPW Sunday Night on ESPN2 logo fades back into full then explodes...

"Welcome To The Fold" by Filter blared over the PA as the owner of WPW, Mick Foley walked out of the entrance and down into the ring on his own.  Foley got a lot of boos from the crowd as he picked up a microphone...

Mick Foley:  "It was just one week ago when all of you people and more importantly Ric Flair thought you had witnessed the end of 'The Elite' but how easy did you forget that Mick Foley doesn't go down that easily!  How gullable were you people to think that I would let the likes of Ric Flair control the actions of this promotion?  I'll tell you, you're DAMN gullable and DAMN stupid because here I stand before you one week later with a fighting unit stronger and more dangerous then any other assembled in the history of this business.  More importantly, Mick Foley stands before you a man in complete control of his company.  You see Ric Flair, I know what goes on inside that thick inflated head of yours, yeah, you look on your mantleplace.  You've got World Heavyweight Title belts from the NWA, from WCW, from the WWF, you've various other championship title belts, trophies, Wrestler Of The Year awards and the names of every wrestle in this sport that you've defeated but there's one spot missing, yeah, and that name is MICK FOLEY!  We're both retired now and who would've thunk that you'd be working for me, yeah, and if I could fire you I would but I can't and that eats away at me but not as much as it eats away at you that you can't claim you've ever gotten the better of Mick Foley and you never will.  You thought you could take control of my company from under me?  I DON'T THINK SO!  For the past month you've been plotting people against eachother and trying to take my company but all that did was give me time!  Time to round up my army, my 'Elite' the cornerstones of the company, *MY* company!  'The Worlds Most Dangerous Man' KEN SHAMROCK!  'The Man That Retired Ric Flair' KIDMAN!  The Intercontinental Champion and 'Olympic Gold Medalist' KURT ANGLE!  And the WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION 'The Game' TRIPLE H!  THEY ARE 'THE ELITE'!"

"ONE! TWO! ZIS ON?!" sounded as 'The Elite' of Triple H, Kurt Angle, Kidman and Ken Shamrock emerged from the entrance and made their way into the ring where Triple H would take the microphone...

Triple H:  "What a night it was, The Game reclaimed the World Heavyweight Title and it's damn time that I did.  Mick Foley is a smart man, Mick Foley is a smarter man then most and Mick Foley realized that Chris Jericho just couldn't cut it as World Heavyweight Champion and that the smart money is in 'The Game'.  The smart money is in Kidman, in Kurt Angle and in Ken Shamrock.  There has never been this much talent on the same page ever and we want to prove to the world just how 'Elite' we really are so we're laying out the challenge for an Ultimate Survial Match in Manchester, England at Manchester Massacre on November 11th.  The match is simple, four on four, elimination rules until one team is eliminated.  We're making the challenge to any four men in the WPW that think they have what it takes to beat 'The Elite'.  I know this is a pointless challenge because anyone with half a brain knows that we cannot be beat..."

The lights went out and we counted down "5..4..3..2..1" then pyro exploded as "Break Down The Walls" blasted through the loudspeakers and out of the entrance walked Chris Jericho with a microphone...

Chris Jericho:  "I'd like to start off by apoligizing to the fans of World Professional Wrestling for my cowardly actions over the past three months.  I'd also like to apoligize to the fans for having to sit through fifteen minutes of the Mick Foley and Triple H state of the losers address!  So Trip, Dude Love, just shut the HELL UP!  Mick Foley, last night was a blessing in disguise for Y2J because you were the worst thing for my career.  Sure, I was World Heavyweight Champion but I had no respect from anyone and rightfully so because of you, because of your hijinks and 'business decisions'.  So now Y2J is making it his mission to prove to the world that I am the best in this company and I'm starting by accepting your challenge to the Ultimate Survival Match in England..."

Triple H:  "That's real nice, Jericho.  It's real nice to see that you're as dumb as you look.  What you're going to go in one on four and get killed again?  Who do you think you are?"

Chris Jericho:  "I'm Y2J and no, I'm not going in one on four, jackass, over the past 24 hours I've had time to make ammends and strike a common bond with three people that want to rip you four apart as much as I do..."

"Surfacing" by Slipknot blasted through the loudspeakers as 'The Crippler' Chris Benoit walked out of the entrance and stood next to Chris Jericho while Shamrock and Angle looked a little worried in the ring.

Triple H:  "Oh no...Not 'The Crippler'!  Oooohhh, I'm so scared, Benoit, who else you got?"

"Seek And Destroy" blared over the PA as Sting would walk out of the entrance and stand with Jericho and Benoit...

Triple H:  "Stinger, what a joke!  Next..."

There was a few moments of silence then "INVASION..." hit and the crowd went apeshit while Triple H dropped his microphone in shock while Mick Foley kept looking around nervously at 'The Elite' and was shaking his head.  Then, GOLDBERG stepped out of the entrance and walked in front of Benoit, Sting and Jericho and Jericho handed him his microphone...

Goldberg:  "I'M BAAAAACK!  Chris Jericho, we may share a common bond now but you've got a lot of proving to do before I trust you.  As for 'The Elite'?  Over the past month and a half, ever since I was screwed out of my World Title opportunity I've had a lot of time to think and I've come to the conclusion that Mick Foley, I want a piece of your ass!  You can hide behind your 'Elite', Foley but I'm running through each and everyone of them to get to you, Foley and it starts tonight with .... you, KEN SHAMROCK!  Why?  BECAUSE YOU'RE NEXT!"

"Invasion..." played again as Goldberg stared down at the ring while 'The Elite' looked shocked at Goldberg's return and Shamrock was shouting some idle threats towards Goldberg.  We headed to the announcers as Scott Hudson and Jerry Lawler talked a little about Battle Ground last night then previewed tonight's show as Dean Malenko defends the Television Title against Cheetah Master, Masato Tanaka takes on Brian Christopher, Tatsuhito Takaiwa & Jinsei Shinzaki of the Jung Dragons make their debut against The F.B.I., Eddy Guerrero faces Scotty Taylor, Booker T will go up against Kidman, Juventud Guerrera and Papi Chulo will meet The Unholy Alliance, Kurt Angle will defend the Intercontinental Title against Mike Awesome and in our Main Event, Goldberg returns to the ring against Ken Shamrock!  All that and more tonight on WPW SUNDAY NIGHT!

Opening Match: Dean Malenko (c) v. Cheetah Master - WPW Television Title.  We returned to the ring where the youngster making his WPW debut, Cheetah Master was already in the ring.  Then, "Change" by Deftones brought out the WPW Television Champion, 'The Shooter' Dean Malenko.  Malenko has held onto his TV Title since becoming the first champion just over three months ago.  This is an incredible feet since Malenko defends the belt almost every week.  Cheetah Master took to the air against Malenko and showed a lot of potential but he was nowhere near as polished a ring general as Malenko.  Malenko made Cheetah wrestle his match and controled the tempo of the contest.  The end saw Cheetah go for a top rope splash but Malenko moved.  Malenko hit a top-rope gutbuster on Cheetah Master then hooked on the Texas Cloverleaf for the submission victory.  Dean Malenko retains the WPW Television Title.

WINNER: Dean Malenko in 3:19.

Rating: ** 1/2

(Dean Malenko retained the WPW Television Title.)

-A long stretch white limosine pulled up to the arena and out stepped 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair in an expensive suit.  Flair walked in towards the arena and seemed to be in a good mood.

Match #3: The F.B.I. v. Jung Dragons.  "Stayin' Alive [Remix]" by N-Trance blared over the PA as The Full Blooded Italians of Guido Maritato and Tony Mamaluke headed out to the ring.  Then, "Somebody Someone" by KoRn blared over the loudspeakers as Kaz Hayashi brought out Jinsei Shinzaki and Tatsuhito Takaiwa of the Jung Dragons.  This would be a very entertaining match as we saw Shinzaki and Takaiwa's offense aresonal's while Maritato and Mamaluke did a good job of keeping up and making it a real fight for the Jung Dragons.  The end would see Takaiwa use his Endless Powerbomb on Tony Mamaluke for the victory.  An impressive in ring debut for Shinzaki and Takaiwa.  These two could be a threat to the World Tag Team Titles in time.

WINNERS: Jung Dragons in 4:38.

"La Raza" sounded as the Latino World Order of Eddy Guerrero, Juventud Guerrera and Papi Chulo made their way out towards the ring and into the ring where Guerrero would take a microphone...

Eddy Guerrero:  "Last night at Battle Ground, once again was the Latino World Order cheated out of a victory.  The video evidence is clear, I was not the legal man in the ring when Booker T caught me from behind and got a lucky three count.  We were robbed of another win but that's going to change because Juvy and Papi are going after World Tag Team gold while I am going to show each and every one of you why I am the best wrestler in the world today!"

Match #4: Eddy Guerrero v. Scotty Taylor.  "Country Grammar" by Nelly blared over the PA as Scotty "Too Hotty" Taylor made his way out to the ring.  This would be another real fast paced match as Taylor showed that he is more then just an effective singles competitor while Guerrero showed why he is considered to be one of the best in the world.  The closing moments of the match would see Scotty hit a face slam on Guerrero then use the WORM!  Trish Stratus came out and distracted the referee.  Taylor went up top for the Diving DDT but Brian Christopher came out and threw Taylor off the top rope.  Christopher then hit Taylor with a superkick and left.  Guerrero went up top and came off with the Frog Splash for the one ... two ... THREE!  Eddy Guerrero takes the match with some help from Brian Christopher.

Match #5: Kidman v. Booker T.  "Rollin'" by Limp Bizkit blared over the loudspeakers as Kidman made his way out to the ring.  Kidman mocked the Flair strut and was as cocky as usual.  Then, "One More Road" by DMX came over the loudspeakers and after a few seconds, Booker T made his way out to the ring.  Kidman and Booker T went at it at full force in a good back and forth match as it was Booker T's power against Kidman's speed.  The closing moments of the match would see Kidman attempt a swinging bulldog on Kidman but Booker T threw him off.  Booker T then nailed the Harlem Sidekick and signalled for the Neckwrecker.  Booker grabbed Kidman but saw Ken Shamrock coming out of the entrance which distracted him and the referee allowing Kurt Angle to come through the crowd and waffle Booker T with the I-C Title belt and run off.  Kidman pulled Booker T into the corner and hit the Shooting Star Press for the one, two, three!  Kidman steals a win over Booker T as The Elite shows just how dangerous they can be.

WINNER: Kidman in 6:50.

-We went inside the locker room of The Unholy Alliance as Sinister Minister gave us a speech about raising some hell tonight and that his team was within an eyelash of winning the World Tag Team Titles last night.  Minister gave The Hardy Boyz credit but in the same breath said that The Unholy Alliance will get another shot...

Match #6: Latino World Order v. The Unholy Alliance.  "La Raza" sounded over the PA as Juventud Guerrera and Papi Chulo of the Latino World Order made their way out to the ring first.  Then, "Bombtrack" by Rage Against The Machine blared over the loudspeakers as the Sinister Minister led out The Unholy Alliance of Mikey Whipwreck and Tajiri to the ring.  The winners of this match will go to England at Manchester Massacre to challenge the World Tag Team Champions.  The titles that Whipwreck and Tajiri nearly won last night.  The end of this match would see Juvy and Tajiri going at it.  Juvy went for a german suplex but Tajiri countered with a go behind and a german suplex but Juvy landed on his feet.  Juvy charged at Tajiri but Tajiri caught him in the chin with a kick.  Tajiri tagged in Whipwreck and the two used a rolling leg lock on Juvy prompting Papi Chulo to grab Tajiri from behind and use an inverted suplex to send Tajiri to the outside.  Chulo followed that up with an asai moonsault onto Tajiri!  Whipwreck went for a Frankenmikey on Juventud Guerrera but Juvy held on and hit a running power bomb!  Guerrera then headed up top and nailed the 450 Splash on Whipwreck for the one ... two ... THREE!  The Latino World Order have won the Number One Contendership!

"My Hero" by Foo Fighters sounded over the PA as the still WPW Intercontinental Champion, "The Olympic Gold Medalist" Kurt Angle emerged from the entrance with a microphone...

Kurt Angle:  "Thank you, thank you.  On behalf of our gracious owner, Mick Foley, I'd like to say just how ignorant you people proved to be.  I mean, did you actually think there would be a group of 'Elite' wrestlers in WPW that would not include the Intercontinental Champion, Olympic Gold Medalist and true American Hero, Kurt Angle?  Speaking of ignorant that brings me to Chris Benoit.  Benoit, ignorance is expected out of you because after all you are *Canadian* but boy, oh, boy did Ken Shamrock sucker you in last night and not to speak for Ken but I don't think he's done with you yet.  Now Mike Awesome, I tried to make peace with you but your temper just was way out of control and I know you're still hurting from last night so being the upstanding citizen that I am, I'm willing to wait to beat you up until a later night, we don't have to have the mach tonight..."

"Awesome" by Reckless Fortune blasted through the loudspeakers as Mike Awesome stepped out of the entrance with a microphone and spoke at a low tone...

Mike Awesome:  "Kurt Angle, understand this, you may have slowed me down last night but you cannot stop Mike Awesome.  You cannot hurt Mike Awesome and *YOU* cannot run from Mike Awesome.  Prepare for your execution."

Match #7: Kurt Angle (c) v. Mike Awesome - WPW Intercontinental Title.  Mike Awesome dropped his microphone and walked towards the ring and into the ring as the referee rang the bell and we were underway with our Intercontinental Title matchup.  The fans were fairly strongly behind Awesome in this match but Awesome didn't seem to care as he didn't change his style at all to play to the finals.  Awesome was his same violent self while Angle tried to counter it with mat wrestling and stalling.  The end would see Angle attempt the Angleplex but Awesome couldn't go up.  Awesome hit some forearms then a release german suplex on Angle.  Awesome headed up top and came off with the AWESOME SPLASH for the one ... two ... THR ... NO!  Angle kicked out!  That brought Ken Shamrock out again which distracted the referee.  Awesome kicked Angle and picked him up for the Running Awesome Bomb but Kidman came into the ring out of nowhere and sprayed MACE into the eyes of Awesome causing him to go down.  Kidman quickly left while Angle hit the ANGLEPLEX on Awesome and hooked the tights for the one ... two ... THREE!  Kurt Angle retains the WPW Intercontinental Title!

-Mike Awesome was going nuts refusing medical attention and trying to get the mace out of his eyes while shouting obcenties towards 'The Elite'.

'Sprach Zarathustra' came over the PA as the WPW Commissioner, 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair stepped out of the entrance and walked down to the ringside where he joined Scott Hudson and Jerry Lawler at the announcers table.  Flair said he originally thought he'd have a lot to work to do tonight but Jericho and the returning Goldberg along with Sting and Chris Benoit made his job a whole lot easier tonight so he thought he'd get a front row seat for our Main Event...

Main Event: Ken Shamrock v. Goldberg.  It was then time for one of the more intriguing main events in the history of WPW Sunday Night as "Stress" by Godsmack blasted through the loudspeakers as 'The Worlds Most Dangerous Man' Ken Shamrock made his way out to the ring.  Then, "Invasion..." hit as Goldberg came through his pyro and into the ring making his return to the ring after a month long hiatus.  Goldberg would do his normal playing to the crowd but Shamrock attacked from behind.  Shamrock laid into the kidneys of Goldberg with punches then hit a back suplex.  Shamrock hit a second back suplex on Goldberg then whipped Goldberg into the turnbuckle.  Shamrock went back to work on the midsection of Goldberg in the corner then pulled him out and locked him in a Dragon Choke Sleeper!  Goldberg was going out and the referee checked his arm once, twice, then on the third time Goldberg raised his arm then powered out of the Dragon Sleeper.  Shamrock kicked Goldberg and sent him into the ropes and hit a Yakuza Kick but Goldberg shrugged it off and yelled in Shamrock's face then hit a legsweep taking down Shamrock.  Goldberg pounded away on Shamrock then hit a corkscrew neckbreaker and a pumphandle fallaway slam on Shamrock.  Shamrock rolled to the outside and Goldberg went out after him.  The two brawled on the outside for a couple minutes as the referee gave them some leeway on the countout and DQ rules.  The match came back inside and went to the mat as both men used submission maneuvers and brawling.  The closing moments of the match would see Goldberg go for a superkick but Shamrock rolled underneath then used a single-leg takedown into the ANKLE LOCK!  Goldberg was in great pain as Shamrock synched it in.  Goldberg slowly crawled towards the ropes and got there as the referee made Shamrock release the hold.  Mick Foley had come out to ringside and he punched Goldberg in the face.  Goldberg rolled to the outside and was backing down Foley while Shamrock argued with the referee.  On the outside, Ric Flair got up from the announce position and cornered Foley as the two yelled back and forth.  Shamrock came outside and kicked out Goldberg's leg then rolled him into the ring.  Shamrock came back in and went to pick up Goldberg from the corner but Goldberg took him down with a short spear!  Goldberg didn't get the full impact but still got Shamrock.  Shamrock rolled to the outside and began backing up the aisleway as to get himself counted out when CHRIS BENOIT came out of the entrance.  Shamrock backed up until he bumped into Benoit.  Benoit grabbed Shamrock and tossed him back into the ring.  Shamrock got up and was yelling at Benoit.  Shamrock turned around and got SPEARED out of his boots by Goldberg!  Goldberg followed that up with the JACKHAMMER on Shamrock and made the cover for the one ... two ... THREE!  Goldberg has made a succesful return over Ken Shamrock

WINNER: Goldberg in 11:31.

Rating: ****

After the match, Chris Benoit and Goldberg shook hands in the ring while Ric Flair came in clapping as the show came to a close.  DA MAN is back!
