Papa Roach's 'Last Resort' played in the background of stills with voiceover of what went down last night at WPW Breakdown.  3Count debuted 'Dance With 3Count' then got beat up by The Acolytes, however, Evan Karagias nailed Faarooq with a chair allowing Shannon Moore to score the pinfall win for 3Count.  Dean Malenko won the WPW Television Title from Jeff Jarrett after Stacey Carter's interference backfired.  Jarrett promptly fired Stacey after the match blaming her for his losing.  Kurt Angle picked up a hard fought win over Diamond Dallas Page with his Angleplex.  Chris Benoit made Road Dogg tap out to the Crippler Crossface giving the win to his team of Shamrock and Flair over Road Dogg, Kidman and X-Pac.  This means that Ric Flair will get another match with Kidman.  Booker T retained the WPW Intercontinental Title over Eddy Guerrero in a great 2/3 Falls Match that was very close but Booker T won 2 falls to 1.  After the match, Booker T was jumped by Al Snow who attacked Booker's knee which was injured in the match.  Snow had to be restrained by WPW officials.  The Hardy Boyz retained the WPW World Tag Team Titles over Too Cool in a good match.  With an assist from a steel chair, Chris Jericho defeated Sting to become the Number One Contender.  Afterwards, Jericho wiped the facepaint of Sting off Sting.  The Main Event saw Triple H and Goldberg going at it for the World Heavyweight Title.  The finish of this match could have gone either way but Goldberg pulled out the win with the Jackhammer to become the new WPW World Heavyweight Champion.  That brings us here tonight to WPW Sunday Night on ESPN2...

"Spit It Out" by Slipknot played in the background as the WPW Sunday Night on ESPN2 graphic comes up on the screen then fades away but not completely as a fast paced montage of WPW action including; Jeff Jarrett KO'ing Rikishi with a guitar, The Acolytes Double Team Power Bombing X-Pac, Sting hitting a Scorpion Death Drop on Ric Flair, Kurt Angle hitting the Angleplex on DDP, Chris Jericho with Eddy Guerrero in the Walls Of Jericho, a Swanton Bomb by Jeff Hardy on Shane Helms, Ric Flair with Sting in the Figure Four Leglock, Triple H hitting the Pedigree on Ken Shamrock, Billy Kidman plastering Ric Flair in the head with a chair, Goldberg spearing Triple H and much, much more.  The WPW Sunday Night on ESPN2 logo fades back into full then explodes...

We entered the arena and in the center of the ring stood Scott Hudson with a microphone...

Hudson:  "Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce to you the new World Professional Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion ... GOLDBERG!"

'INVASION' blasted over the loudspeakers as Goldberg walked out to the ring in jeans with the World Heavyweight Title on his shoulder to a big pop from the crowd.  Goldberg stepped into the ring, Hudson gave him the microphone then left.

Goldberg:  "One month ago, I walked into WPW and answered the challenge of the loudmouthed Triple H.  One night ago, I walked out the World Heavyweight Champion.  Triple H, even I have to admit that you gave me one hell of a fight, probably the toughest match of my career but I still walked out on top and now I stand before all you people not just the World Heavyweight Champion but YOUR World Champion.  I intend on defending this title against all comers and running through all of 'em."

'5..4..3..2..1'The lights went out and 'Break Down The Walls' hit as "Y2J" Chris Jericho emerged from the entrance and stood at the top of the stage with a microphone...

Chris Jericho:  "Goldberg, or should I say Greenberg, I'd like to start off by congradulating you on being the biggest jackass walking.  So you beat Triple H, big deal because while you've beaten a few people, you've never EVER beaten Y2J and you never will.  Greenberg, yeah, I'm next, actually I'm first in line for a shot at that World Heavyweight Title on your shoulder, daddy-o.  This my year, this is the year of Y2J and at International Incident in Vancouver, BC, Canada.  You have to walk into *MY* country to defend that title against Y2J and Greenberg, you will not walk out champion and that is a promise..."

Goldberg:  "Why don't you stop flapping those Canadian gums of yours, come down here and I'll hand you, your ass!"

Chris Jericho:  "No, that'd be too easy because as much as I'd like to beat you within an inch of your life, and believe I would, you've got an injured shoulder and that just wouldn't be fair.  We all know that Chris Jericho is a fair and honest human being not to mention a damn handsome man.  But anyways, next week, I'm going to give you a preview of the Y2J beating you'll receive at International Incident in a tag team match.  You find yourself a partner and show up next week to face Y2J and a partner of my choice."

Goldberg:  "If that's the way you want it, then you've got it and I'll leave you with some advice, Jericho.  Take a picture of your pretty boy face because after I get done with you, there'll be nothing left because YOUR NEXT!"

Chris Jericho tried to hide being scared but didn't do a very good job as 'Invasion' played and we went to the announcers table.  Hudson and Taylor welcomed everyone to the show and said to stay tuned because theirs a ton of unpredictable great action ahead...

Opening Match: Jeff Jarrett v. Lash LeRoux.  "Cowboy" by Kid Rock blared over the PA as 'Double J' Jeff Jarrett walked out to the ring yelling at fans on the way.  Then, 'The Ragin' Cajun' Lash LeRoux made his way out to the ring to face off against Jarrett.  Jarrett attacked LeRoux right away and was ready to take his aggression of losing the TV Title last night on LeRoux.  Jarrett dominated for the opening minute or so until LeRoux came back with some offense of his own but Jarrett would regain control quickly.  The closing moments of the match would see Jarrett hit a piledriver on LeRoux then a second.  Jarrett refused to cover LeRoux and went for a third piledriver but LeRoux would roll up Jarrett in a small package ... ONE! TWO! THR...NO! LeRoux almost upset Jarrett, Jarrett's up and nails a single arm DDT!  Jarrett sets up LeRoux and drills him with the Stroke and makes the cover for the one-two-three!

WINNER: Jeff Jarrett in 3:25.

Rating: 1/4*

We headed out to the parking lot to the parking valet's post.  Chris Jericho walked up to the valet and told him that Goldberg was signing autographs over in the cafeteria.  The attendant quickly went to go get an autograph leaving the keys unattended.  Jericho looked through the keys and grabbed one.  Jericho then looked around the garage and found the car he was looking for ... Goldberg's silver Dodge Viper!  Jericho opened the car, got in and drove off.  Jericho has stolen Goldberg's Viper!

Match #2: 3Count v. The Mamalukes.  Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, and Evan Karagias hit the ring to start performing 'Dance With 3Count' for the crowd, who responded with loud '3COUNT SUCKS!' chants.  Then, "Millennium" by Killing Joke brought out The Mamalukes to the ring.  Karagias left the ring and we had our tag team match.  This was the speed and high flying of Helms and Moore against the tough brawlers in Big Vito and Johnny The Bull.  The Mamalukes put up a tough fight but in the end Evan Karagias would provide a distraction to Big Vito allowing Shannon Moore to connect with the Shannon Slicer.  Moore tagged in Shane Helms who nailed the Sugar Splash for the one .. two .. THREE!  3Count picks up the win over The Mamalukes to go with their win over The Acolytes last night as they move up the rankings.

WINNERS: 3Count in 6:05.

Rating: * 1/2

'Sprach Zarathurstra' began over the PA as 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair walked out to the ring and took a microphone..

Ric Flair:  "I don't want to take up a lot of time out here tonight but I've got to start off by paying respect to my Horsemen, who made me very proud last night.  Dean Malenko, the new Television Champion.  Ken Shamrock kicked some ass and Chris Benoit got the submission that won the match.  That's what brings me out here tonight, the fact that I get another shot at that little punk, Kidman.  Kidman, I know you were hoping that maybe we'd face at the pay-per-view but I don't wanna wait.  Kidman, I want my match right here tonight, boy!"

"The Kings" by Run DMC blared over the loudspeakers as Kidman quickly came out of the entrance with a microphone...

Kidman:  "Forget about it old man, there's no way in hell that your getting your match here tonight, no way, no, no, no!"

The WPW Commissioner, TED DIBIASE walked out of the entrance with a microphone...

Dibiase:  "Not only will these great fans here tonight see in the Main Event, 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair go one on one with Kidman but if anyone, DX, Horsemen, ANYONE interferes in that match then their contracts will be TERMINATED."

Ric Flair:  "Kidman, get ready to walk that aisle, pal because tonight you go one-on-one with The Nature Boy, no bull**** run-ins, no nothing, you and me and you're going to school ... WHOOOOOO!"

Match #3: Eddy Guerrero v. Papi Chulo.  "Big Pimpin'" by Jay-Z blared over the PA as Papi Chulo headed out to the ring decked out in a fur coat and pimp hat.  Then, "La Raza" brought Eddy Guerrero out to the ring.  Guerrero put up one hell of a fight in a close contest with the I-C Champion Booker T last night and is back in action tonight.  This match went at a lightning like pace as the two lucha libre stars went all out in a grueling contest.  Guerrero made it his mission to ground the athletic innovative high flyer, Chulo in this one and did a fairly good job.  The closing moments of the match would see Chulo hit a spinning Michinoku Driver on Guerrero then head up top for his Moonsault but Guerrero rolled out of the way.  Guerrero followed that up with a brain buster then the Frog Splash for the one, two, three.  Eddy Guerrero gets back on the winning streak.

WINNER: Eddy Guerrero in 5:35.

Rating: *** 3/4

After the match, Eddy Guerrero continued stomping away on Chulo until Jeff Jarrett ran down to the ring with his guitar and pulled Guerrero off of Chulo and shoved him across the ring.  Jarrett lined up Guerrero with the guitar but instead cranked Chulo in the head.  Jarrett high fived Guerrero and both men worked over Chulo a bit more before leaving the ring together.  Has a new alliance being formed?

We went backstage where Goldberg got done signing an autograph then grabbed his bag and told a road agent that he's out for the night.  Goldberg approached the parking valet and asked for his keys but they couldn't be found.  Goldberg was pissed off then went to look for his Viper, which of course wasn't there.  Goldberg demanded answers from the valet who said that a blond haired guy was around before.  Goldberg said 'Jericho...that son of a bitch..' before we headed to a break.

Match #4: Dean Malenko & Ken Shamrock v. Road Dogg & X-Pac.  The ongoing war between The Horsemen and D-Generation X continued here tonight as 'The Shooter' Dean Malenko and 'The Worlds Most Dangerous Man' Ken Shamrock of The Four Horsemen took on Road Dogg and X-Pac of D-Generation X.  This match was like a time bomb waiting to explode as all four men went at it.  The closing moments of the match would see Shamrock get X-Pac in the Ankle Lock but Road Dogg came in and broke it up.  Malenko came in and started pounding on Road Dogg.  The four men kept brawling for another minute or so with the referee trying to gain control but that didn't happen so he threw the match out.  This brawl continued for a few more seconds until WPW officials hit the ring and pulled everyone apart.

WINNERS: No Contest

Rating: 1/2*

Match #5: Booker T (c) v. Al Snow - WPW Intercontinental Title.  'What Is Fight Club?' by Dust Brothers sounded as Al Snow stalked towards the ring to quite a bit of boos from the crowd for this psycho.  We looked at some footage of Al Snow attacking Booker T for no reason after Booker T succesfully defend his IC Title against Eddy Guerrero.  'Party Up' by DMX blared over the loudspeakers as the WPW Intercontinental Champion, Booker T headed out to the ring with a limp in his walk.  Snow went right for the injured knee of Booker T and worked over it for a few minutes.  The closing moments of the match would see Al Snow get Booker T in a Cross Knee Scissors.  Booker was in tons of pain and inched towards the ropes and got them which infuriated Snow.  Snow released the hold after a four count and immediately went outside the ring.  Snow grabbed Booker T's IC Title belt and rolled into the ring and went to nail Booker in the head but Booker T ducked and nailed Snow with a Harlem Sidekick.  Booker T headed up top and nailed the Missile Dropkick for the one...two...THREE!  Booker T has retained the WPW I-C Title!

WINNER: Booker T in 4:04.

Rating: ** 1/4

(Booker T retained the WPW Intercontinental Title.)

After the match, Snow chop blocked Booker T and attacked the referee snapping again.  Out of the back came security who maced Snow and tackled him putting him in handcuffs.  Snow would get forcefully taken out of the arena with an evil grin on his face.  Booker T struggled to get up in his ring when ... 'My Hero' by Foo Fighters blared over the loudspeakers and out from the back walked KURT ANGLE.  Angle had a microphone...

Kurt Angle:  "No fear, no fear, your Olympic Hero has come to save the day once again.  After my triumphent defeat of Diamond Dallas Page last night, your Olympic Hero is looking for more gold.  I look into the ring and see a man with a busted up knee calling himself a champion.  Look at yourself, Booker T, look at you!  Your not a champion, I am a champion and that Intercontinental Title belt that you can't even raise over your head right now will be mine, it's true, it's true."

Booker T pushed the officials away and limped towards Kurt Angle and Angle backed off the kicked Booker T's knee away.  Angle celebrated like he'd won another medal before leaving.

'ONE! TWO! ZIS ON?!' sounded as the former WPW World Champion, Triple H headed out to the ring in street clothes looking very pissed off.  The Game pushed around the ring announcer and took the microphone...

Triple H:  "Shut the hell up!  SHUT UP!  What happened last night was the biggest miscarriage of justice that I have ever witnessed in my life.  Bill Goldberg, you got lucky.  Your no more a champion then I am not.  I beat your ass from bell to bell and you got in one lucky Jackhammer and you come out here and brag about how you beat me.  No, no one BEATS The Game, you didn't defeat me Goldberg, I defeated myself and damnit, I want my title BACK!  That was nothing more then a fluke and I want my title back, damnit!"

"Surfacing" by Slipknot then cut Triple H off as out of the entrance walked 'The Crippler' Chris Benoit with a microphone...

Chris Benoit:  "Triple H, these people didn't pay to see you come out here and bitch, cry and moan like a little baby about how you got your ass kicked by Goldberg.  Be a man, Triple H, accept your defeat and move on."

Triple H:  "Just who the hell do you think you are?"

Chris Benoit:  "I'm here to show you what The Crippler is all about."

Triple H:  "What?  You want a piece of me?  Come on' Benoit, tough guy, bring it on."

Chris Benoit charged into the ring and Triple H stomped on him as he came in then Triple H pulled off his shirt and choked Benoit with it.  Triple H started hitting Benoit with right hands then went for a big one but Benoit caught the arm of Triple H and drove him down into the CRIPPLER CROSSFACE!  Triple H is TAPPING OUT!  TRIPLE H IS TAPPING OUT TO THE CROSSFACE!  This isn't a match, though.  Benoit released the hold and blew snot onto Triple H then picked up a microphone...

Chris Benoit:  "Consider that your first lesson on what Chris Benoit is all about..."

Match #6: The Hardy Boyz (c) v. Crash Holly & Hardcore Holly.  "Dirty Deeds" by AC/DC brought out the challenging team of Crash Holly and Hardcore Holly to the ring first.  Then, "Break Stuff" by Limp Bizkit blared over the loudspeakers as the WPW World Tag Team Champions, The Hardy Boyz made their way out to the ring.  This would be an entertaining match with Crash Holly picking up the pace a little and not brawling as much while Hardcore Holly had the most power in the match.  The Hardy Boyz, as always, worked their asses off and showed why they're the top tag team in the game.  The closing moments of the match would see Jeff Hardy going for a reverse Twist Of Fate on Hardcore Holly but Crash Holly came in and broke it up.  Hardcore Holly tried a DDT on Jeff but Jeff countered it with a release northern lights suplex while Matt Hardy came in and caught Crash Holly with a Twist Of Fate.  Matt hit a snap suplex on Hardcore then Jeff came off the top with the Swanton Bomb for the one...two...THREE!  The Hardy Boyz retain the World Tag Team Titles.

WINNERS: The Hardy Boyz in 5:08.

Rating: **

(The Hardy Boyz retained the WPW World Tag Team Titles.)

We cut to the backstage area where Goldberg was still going nuts trying to find out where Jericho took his car.  We then heard someone call out for Goldberg from a distance.  It was Jericho about 15 feet away.  Jericho threw Goldberg his keys and told him that it's a nice car.  Goldberg jogged over to the parking garage to find his Dodge Viper ... painted PINK!  Jericho then came in front of the camera and said ... "JERICHO ONE!  GREENBERG ZERO!"  Goldberg chased after him but Jericho bolted away.  Jericho's gone and pissed off Goldberg and that has to be a mistake.

Main Event: Ric Flair v. Kidman.  It's been an incredible, wild ride of a show so far and to cap off the past two days it was time for our Main Event as "The Kings" by Run DMC blared over the loudspeakers as Kidman headed out to the ring.  Then, 'Sprach Zarathustra' sounded as 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair headed out to the ring with fire in his eyes and Kidman bailed from the ring.  Flair went after Kidman and Kidman ran from him then tried to lure Flair back into the ring but Flair was too smart, stopped and pulled Kidman out of the ring.  Flair then laid into Kidman with chops and punches on the outside.  Flair smacked Kidman's head against the ringpost and busted Kidman open very early in the match.  Flair rolled Kidman back in but Kidman managed to dropkick Flair in the knee then hit a faceslam.  Kidman shouted at the crowd then went up top and tried a flying clothesline but Flair moved.  Flair was back in control as he hit a big suplex on Kidman then continued pounding away on Kidman with chops.  This match continued back and forth for quite some time with DX or The Horsemen being unable to interfere or their contracts will be terminated.  The closing moments of the match would see Kidman go for a swinging bulldog but no, Flair holds on to Kidman's knee and nails him with a kneebreaker!  Flair lets out a WHOOOOOO! and he's going for the Figure Four Leglock ... ROLLUP BY KIDMAN ...
