WPW Breakdown - July 1 / 2000 -==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==- We opened with a video montage of events leading up to
WPW Aggression set to "Last Resort" by Papa Roach. 3Count have pissed off The Acolytes at every
turn and have taken a beating in the process and after a failed attempt to get
out of the match will 3Count be able to hang with The Acolytes? The distraction of Stacey Carter led to Jeff
Jarrett becoming the first ever WPW Television Champion over Dean Malenko but
Jarrett must defend against Malenko tonight and 'The Shooter' has promised
Jarrett that Stacey won't be a factor in the match. Kurt Angle placed the blame for losing to
Sting solely on Diamond Dallas Page and tonight the two face off in a grudge
match. Ric Flair wants another shot at
Kidman but Kidman has set up the roadblock in the form of a Six Man Tag Team
Match as Flair, Shamrock and Benoit face Kidman, Road Dogg and X-Pac. If The Horsemen win then Flair will get
another match with Kidman but if DX wins then they never ever have to wrestle
The Horsemen again. Proving that there
are no friends in wrestling, Triple H drove a wedge between Chris Jericho and
Sting as Jericho has gone all out for victory.
The two face off tonight with the winner to go onto face the World Champion
at the next PPV. Last month, Booker T
upset Eddy Guerrero to become the WPW Intercontinental Champion and tonight he
puts the belt back on the line against Guerrero but this time it'll be a 2/3
Falls Match. The WPW World Tag Team
Titles are on the line as The Hardy Boyz defend against Too Cool. Too Cool have been softened up thanks to
attacks by the deranged Al Snow. It was
one month ago that Triple H issued the open challenge to anyone and out of the
entrance stepped Goldberg. This feud has
escalated to right here tonight as the WPW World Heavyweight Champion, Triple H
defends against Goldberg. All this and
more tonight, live on Pay-Per-View as WPW presents BREAKDOWN... With that we entered the arena as fireworks went off and
Scott Hudson and Terry Taylor welcomed us to the program. They hyped up the show then sent us to the
ring for action... Opening Match: 3Count v. The Acolytes. Evan Karagias, Shannon Moore and Shane Helms
headed out onto the top of the stage with headset microphones... Shannon:
"Before we beat down The Acolytes, we have a special treat for all
the thousands of 3Count fans in attendance and the millions watching around the
world." Shane: "After
our first hit, 'Can't Get You Out Of My Heart' went platinum several times we
hit the studios and busted out a new single that's going to top the charts
worldwide and tonight, we're going to debut it to the world..." Evan: "Our
new single is called, 'Dance With 3Count' so all you people in the audience can
dance along with us. Now I know you may
not be quite the entertainers and dancers that we are but it's the effort that
counts and remember, all the ladies go down for the 3Count..." The new song, 'Dance With 3Count' played as 3Count lip
synched to it for a few moments until 'Ironman' by Black Sabbath blasted
through the loudspeakers as 3Count looked all scared. A few moments later, Faarooq and Bradshaw,
The Acolytes charged through the curtain and laid out Evan Karagias. Faarooq and Bradshaw then took Shannon and
Shane and threw them into the ring and our first match was on. Helms and Bradshaw were the first two in as
Shannon went out to the apron as did Faarooq.
Bradshaw would hammer away on Helms with big blows then send him into
the ropes but Helms came off with a spinning heel kick but Bradshaw moved. Bradshaw stomped on Helms then picked him up
and hit a fallaway slam. Bradshaw
followed that up with a belly-to-back suplex on Helms for a two count. Bradshaw sent Helms into the corner and
charged in but Helms moved. Helms then
nailed Bradshaw with a superkick and tagged in Shannon Moore. Moore and Helms would double team on Bradshaw
and hit a double dropkick. Moore would
then go up top and nail a moonsault on Bradshaw for a two count. Moore kept it quick with some chops and kicks
then sent Bradshaw into the ropes and went for a frankensteiner but Bradshaw
turned it into a power bomb. Bradshaw
made the tag to Faarooq. Faarooq wore
down Shannon a bit with some power moves then sent him into the corner but
Shannon would run up the turnbuckles and hit a crossbody block but Faarooq
caught him. Shane Helms quickly came in
with a springboard dropkick into Shannon sending Faarooq down for a two count. This match of The Acolytes power and brawling
against the dynamic speed and arial assault of 3Count continued on for a few
more minutes. The closing moments of the
match would see Faarooq and Shannon Moore going at it. Faarooq hit a hard slam on Shannon then Shane
came in and tried to get at Faarooq but Bradshaw came in and ran at Shane but
Shane backdropped Bradshaw out of the ring.
Shane then hit a running senton plancha onto Bradshaw taking himself out
in the process. Shannon tried to whip
Faarooq into the ropes but Faarooq reversed it then caught Shannon in a
spinebuster. Shane started choking

ring. Malenko then pounded away on
Jarrett on the outside of the ring for a moment before rolling the champion

the ropes and hit him with a leg lariat.

Malenko then sent Jarrett back into the ropes but Jarrett came off with
a clothesline. Jarrett followed that up
with a gutwrench suplex for two. Jarrett
followed that up with some more brawling then hit a piledriver on Malenko for
another near fall. Jarrett got cocky and

and stayed away from the brawling. The

hand then go for a bulldog but Malenko threw Jarrett off. Malenko whipped Jarrett into the corner but
