Gund Arena in Cleveland, OH

"Praise" by Sevendust played in the background of the NGW Ring Wars opening sequence which featured a montage of various New Generation Wrestling superstars such as; Vampiro, Tommy Dreamer, Randy Orton, The Dudley Boyz, John Cena, Taz, Jeff Jarrett, Raven, Kane, Eddy Guerrero, Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar, Booker T, Scott Steiner, Rob Van Dam and more.  This is New Generation Wrestling and this is RING WARS...

Inside the Gund Arena, Joey Styles and Diamond Dallas Page, welcomed everyone to the show.  We've got a jam-packed night of action tonight as 'THE CHOSEN ONE' JEFF JARRETT goes one-on-one with 'THE PROTOTYPE' JOHN CENA ... 'THE WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS MAN' KEN SHAMROCK will battle 'THE BIG RED MACHINE' KANE for a shot at TAZ ... TOMMY DREAMER will get his hands on RAVEN but it will be in a tag team match as Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards face off against Raven and Saturn...

['DANGER! DANGER']

The Dangerous Alliance headed out to the ring in full force to kick off tonight's show.  Paul Heyman took the microphone...

HEYMAN:  "I've just come from speaking with our fearless Commissioner Shawn Michaels in regards to the Dangerous Alliance's involvement in the Winter Wars Pay-Per-View.  We already know that Big Poppa Pump will be taking the World Championship from Rob Van Dam.  I have one more punishment to hand out and that punishment is to the two young rookies, John Cena and Randy Orton.  Cena and Orton, you saw what we did to Goldust but you're young, dumb, and full of ... fun.  Just like a child, you've made a mistake by getting involved with the Dangerous Alliance so at Winter Wars you two are going to team up against 'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett and Konnan."

JARRETT:  "As far as I'm concerned, Randy Orton, you can't lace my damn boots, your father wasn't fit enough to lace my boots and you're grandfather?  Well I'll spare him because he doesn't have much time left.  Now John Cena, we may have a tag team match in thirteen days but tonight you're going one on one with The Chosen One.  Don't think I've forgotten about a few weeks ago when you got lucky and beat me.  Justice will be served tonight and Jeff Jarrett will beat your rookie ass.  Now choke on that, slapnuts."

['Can You Dig It? SUCKA!']

Booker T stepped out of the entrance to a big reaction.  Booker had a microphone in hand...

BOOKER:  "Usually I'd come out here and cut you suckas off because I didn't wanna hear your voices no more.  That ain't the case tonight cause Scott Steiner or Eddy Guerrero, one of ya's betta start explainin' just where in the hell you think you get off ruining my shot at the World Championship?"

GUERRERO:  "Chill out, holmes ... Cool your jets, ese.  You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time ... It's real simple, homey, Scott Steiner here, el mal papá grande del booty, wants to to take Rob Van Dam and break him into a million pieces because it, hehe, it was RVD that stole the World Championship."

BOOKER:  "That still didn't give you any right to get up in my business so I'm gonna keep making you my business.  Whether it's you Guerrero or you Steiner, one of you as got to be bad enough to step in that ring with the Booker man."

GUERRERO:  "You know what?  I don't like the way you're talking to me, holmes ... I don't like that tone in your voice, ese so I'm gonna grant you your wish.  I'm gonna take you on at Winter Wars, ese and voy a tomarle hacia fuera!  I AM GONNA TAKE YOU OUT!"

BOOKER:  "I'll take it ... I'll take it but what about you Steiner?  You call yourself Big Poppa Pump, the big bad booty daddy, are you bad enough to get some of Booker T?"

STEINER:  "You don't want me, Booker T, you don't want the largest arms in the world sending you to a hospital."

BOOKER:  "Funny, I seem to remember the last time me and you hooked it up, dawg, you were flat on your bizack for the one-two-three.  So either you gimme some tonight or I'll find a way to get some anyways.  Can you dig it?"

STEINER:  "Me and you tonight?  You're on Booker but I just gotta say first to Eddy Guerrero, I'm sorry, man.  I'm real sorry because there won't be anything left of Booker T for you at Winter Wars."

Booker T's music hit as he nodded and walked to the back.  The Dangerous Alliance conversed in the ring and we were about to a break when Booker T walked back out, signalled to cut the music and ... "SUCKAAAAAAAAAAA!"  Booker then left for good as we headed to our first commercial break...

(1) Super Crazzy v. D-Von Dudley

"Roadhouse Blues Remix" blared over the speakers as 'The Insane Luchadore' Super Crazzy made his way out to the ring.  We cut to a shot in the crowd to see Vampiro taking a seat in nosebleeds again.  Then, "Turn The Tables" by Saliva blared over the speakers as one half of the World Tag Team Champions, D-Von Dudley headed out.  The Dudley Boyz will defend against Super Crazzy and Psicosis at Winter Wars.  During the match, Raven wandered out to ringside with a microphone...

RAVEN:  "Vampiro!  Vampiro ... I know you can hear my voice so please just listen to me.  I feel your pain, Vampiro.  You're thinking that this has been your life, and it's been as good as its ever going to be.  Vampiro, you are not useless, you do not have to give up.  Your life, it can get better.  You can be reborn if you come with me.  If you come with the Flock.  Fate has brought you to this crossroad but you can come with the Flock, come with me and Vampiro, I will set you free.  COME WITH ME, VAMPIRO!  COME ON!  COME ON, VAMPIRO!  Damnit!"

Raven dropped the microphone and stormed to the back as Vampiro just shook his head.  D-Von Dudley turned his attention away from Super Crazzy and Crazzy hit an inverted swinging DDT!  Crazzy followed that up with the Trifecta Moonsaults for the one ... two ... THREE!  Super Crazzy scores what can be clasified as an upset of sorts over D-Von.

WINNER: Super Crazzy in 5:11.

Rating: ** 3/4

We headed to the arena entrance to see the NGW World Champion, 'The Whole F'n Show' Rob Van Dam arriving to the arena.  The Coach approached Van Dam for some comments...

VAN DAM:  "Scott Steiner's making a mistake if he thinks that he's doing himself a favor by making sure that Rob Van Dam is the World Champion come Winter Wars.  You're not unbeatable, you're not invincible, you're not Rob Van Dam and you're not going to be the World Champion at Winter Wars.  What I wanna know is after I beat Steiner this time, is he gonna leave again?  The closed caption guys need another break from trying to figure out what the hell comes out of your mouth every week..."

(2) Ken Shamrock v. Kane - #1 Contenders Match (U.S. Title)

"I Will Be Heard" by Hatebreed blasted over the speakers as 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' Ken Shamrock headed out to the ring.  Then, "Slow Chemical" by Finger Eleven blared over the speakers as 'The Big Red Machine' Kane made his way out.  The winner of this match will get a shot at Taz's United States Heavyweight Title at Winter Wars.  This was a clash of styles which ended up being mainly a brawl.  The ending would see Kane go for a running powerslam but Shamrock dropped down the back.  Shamrock tried to send Kane into the ropes but Kane reversed it.  Shamrock went for a hurricanrana but Kane power bombed Shamrock down for the one ... two ... THR ... NO!  Kane grabbed Shamrock and picked him up for the Choke Slam but Shamrock rolled Kane into a cross armbreaker in an amazing counter!  Kane was in the ropes so Shamrock let go, pulled Kane to the middle of the ring and locked him in the Ankle Lock!  That was when Taz hit the ring and grabbed Shamrock in the Tazmission!  Taz squeezed Shamrock until his oxygen was gone and Taz threw him down to the mat.  The referee rang the bell DQ'ing Kane which means Shamrock gets the shot.  Taz nodded his head in approval...

WINNER: Ken Shamrock via DQ in 5:12.

Rating: *

After the match, Taz trash talked the out cold Shamrock until Kane spun Taz around, grabbed him by the throat and Choke Slam'ed Taz.  Kane walked out of the ring as he went to a break...

We returned to the ring from a break...

["Break The Walls Down" by Sevendust]

Chris Jericho emerged from the entrance and walked down towards the ring, taunting fans as usual.  Jericho took a microphone...

JERICHO:  "I hear you snickering, I hear you cheering BRAAAWWWKK Leeesssnar for giving me a Terminator last week.  Well if you people think that Brock Lesnar stands a chance of being somebody without me, without Chris Jericho controlling his every move then you will be sadly mistaken.  Brock Lesnar, you made your choice last week ... You could have been LARGER THAN LIFE but instead, you're going to be nothing more then a could have, should have, would have if you didn't turn your back on the man who brought you to the dance.  Brock, I brought you here, I showed you the ropes, I told you everything that you know but Brock ... I didn't tell you everything that I know.  I didn't teach what it means to be a living legend, no, because you didn't give me a chance.  I made you into the monster that you are and I'll be the one to take you down at Winter Wars.  I won't only take you down, Brock, but I will make you wish that you never EVER laid your hands on Chris Jericho.  Brock, you're big, you're strong but you're no different then all of these people ... You're stupid.  Too stupid to beat Chris Jericho."

Brock Lesnar had come through the crowd and was now standing in the ring behind Chris Jericho.

JERICHO:  "Too stupid to realize that you've thrown a promising career away.  TOO STUPID TO KNOW..."

Lesnar tapped on Jericho's shoulder, Jericho turned around and almost had a heart attack.  Lesnar pulled the microphone from Jericho...

LESNAR:  "I'm guess I'm also too stupid to know when to stop beating your ass in two weeks.  I'll just be beating you and beating you and beating you while you're screaming for mercy but since I'm so stupid, I won't stop.  So Chris Jericho ... any last words?"

JERICHO:  "Last words?  You'll never shut me up because all of these people hang on my every word.  I am the biggest thing this business has ever or will ever see.  No one ... Not you, not anyone can matchup to Chris Jericho and that is why I am LARGER THAN LIFE ... Why I am a LIVING LEGEND ... Why I am better then each and everyone of you ... And why I am the man that will break Brock Lesnar down and make you TAP!"

Lesnar picked up Jericho and drove him into the corner hard.  Lesnar then lifted up Jericho for the Terminator but Jericho dropped down and low blowed Lesnar!  Jericho rolled out of the ring and grabbed a steel chair.  Jericho came in and swung but Lesnar grabbed the steel chair and threw it hard into the mat.  Jericho high tailed it out of the ring and backed up the ramp not wanting any of Brock Lesnar...

(3) Jamie Knoble & James Maritado v. Devon Storm & Taka Michinoku v. Rey Misterio Jr. & Red

"A Country Boy Can Survive" by Hank Williams Jr blared over the speakers as 'The Redneck Messiah' Jamie Knoble and James Maritado headed out.  "Terrible Lie" by Nine Inch Nails as 'Dangerous' Devon Storm and Taka Michinoku made his way out.  Then, "Psycho" by Madd One blared over the speakers as the NGW World Cruiserweight Champion, Rey Misterio Jr. and 'The Amazing' Red headed out.  Rey Misterio Jr will defend the World Cruiserweight Title against Jamie Knoble and Devon Storm in a Three Way Dance at Winter Wars.  The first elimination would see Storm go for the Mind Bender on Maritado but Maritado reached out and made the tag to Jamie Knoble.  Knoble pulled Storm in and planted him with the Tiger Driver for the one ... two ... THREE (7:12)!  It was now down to Rey & Red against Knoble and Maritado.  The ending would see Maritado go to the top but Misterio countered and caught him with a super bulldog.  Rey tagged in Red, who hit the Red Star Press on Maritado for the one ... two ... THREE!  Rey and Red celebrated but Knoble decked Rey from behind then left the ring...

WINNERS: Rey Misterio Jr. & Red in 11:30.

Rating: *** 1/2

We headed backstage where The Coach got some comments from 'The Prototype' John Cena before his match with Jeff Jarrett...

CENA:  "Jeff Jarrett and the Dangerous Alliance ... You talk, talk and then talk some more about how I'm just a rookie.  You talk about how Randy Orton is just a rookie.  So us rookies, it looks we've gotta stick together because some of the so called established stars around here are SHAKING IN THEIR BOOTS!  Step aside, Jarrett, the future has arrived."

(4) Jeff Jarrett v. John Cena

"Cowboy" by Kid Rock blared over the speakers as 'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett headed out to the ring.  Then, "More Human Than Human (NIN Remix)" by Nine Inch Nails blasted over the speakers as 'The Prototype' John Cena made his way out.  Jeff Jarrett and Konnan will team up against Cena and Randy Orton at Winter Wars.  Jarrett and Cena faced off shortly after Cena debuted with Cena getting what was a surprise win at the time but Cena's established himself since then so a win would no longer be a surprise.  The ending would see Cena catch Jarrett with a spinebuster for the one ... two ... THR ... NO!  Jarrett backed into the corner, Cena splashed him.  Cena climbed up and punched away on Jarrett but Jarrett stepped out with a hotshot.  Jarrett covered for the one ... two ... NO!  Jarrett left the ring and went underneath the ring.  Jarrett pulled out his guitar and held it up in the air but Randy Orton ran down and yanked the chair away from Jarrett.  Konnan came out and nailed Orton from behind.  Jarrett stepped back in the ring, laughing at Orton.  Jarrett turned around and Cena caught him with the Proto-Bomb for the one ... two ... THREE!  John Cena takes the win!

WINNER: John Cena in 5:23.

Rating: **

After the match, Konnan hit the ring and jumped Cena from behind until Randy Orton came back in to run him off.  The rookies have gotten the better of the Dangerous Alliance tonight...

We headed back to the locker room where Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards were shown getting ready for their upcoming tag team match...

STEVIE:  "That was great last week, Tommy, with Kanyon gone that's one less guy that stands between us and Raven.  His days really are numbered."

DREAMER:  "Just watch your back tonight, Stevie, I'm sure that Sick Scott Vick will be lurking around somewhere.  Let's do every wrestler in this locker room, every NGW fan watching a favor, let's not stop until we run Raven out of town."

STEVIE:  "It won't be easy but nobody has a better shot of getting it done then us."

Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards punched fists then exited their dressing room...

(5) Raven & Saturn v. Tommy Dreamer & Stevie Richards

"Come Out And Play" by Offspring blared over the speakers but Saturn was the only one that came out to the ring.  Saturn took the microphone and said that Raven had 'taken ill' and gone to the hospital so Saturn was going to defend The Flock's 'freedom of expression' against Dreamer and Richards on his own.  Then, "Man In The Box" by Alice In Chains blared over the speakers as 'The Innovator Of Violence' Tommy Dramer and Stevie Richards headed out.  Neither looked too impressed or surprised by Raven's cop-out.  Saturn held his own early but the two on one advantage was just too much for him to take.  Dreamer and Richards seemed to be sending a message through Saturn but its doubtful that Raven really gives a damn about Saturn.  The ending would see Dreamer go for a big flying splash on Saturn but Saturn moved.  Dreamer made the tag to Stevie then rolled out of the ring in pain.  Stevie caught Saturn with a Stevie Kick sending Saturn out to the floor.  Scott Vick ran out into the ring but Stevie side stepped him and hurled Vick over the top.  Out of nowhere, Raven slipped into the ring and spiked Stevie with the Evenflow DDT for the one ... two ... THREE!  That damn Raven!

WINNERS: Raven & Saturn in 6:12.

Rating: **

After the match, Tommy Dreamer came back in and started hammering on Raven with rights.  Scott Vick grabbed a chair, came in and drilled Dreamer in the back.  Raven set up the chair and started picking up Dreamer but VAMPIRO came through the crowd!  Vampiro cleared the ring of Vick and Saturn then went after Raven but Raven ducked out of the ring.  Vampiro helped up Dreamer then no!  Vampiro Spike on Dreamer!  Raven smiled as Vampiro walked out of the ring and too the back with The Flock...

(Main Event) Scott Steiner v. Booker T

"I Need A Freak" by Too $hort blared over the speakers as Trish Stratus led out 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner, as well as Paul Heyman.  Then, "Can You Dig It? SUCKA!" sounded as Booker T headed out to the ring.  Scott Steiner has his shot at the NGW World Championship in thirteen days at Winter Wars but last week he helped screw over Booker T when Booker was challenging Rob Van Dam for the title.  Steiner claims he did it because he wants to beat RVD for the title because RVD was the one who took it from him.  However, he crossed Booker T in the process and hand more then his hands full with Booker T tonight.  When Booker could keep the match quick, he was well in control as Steiner couldn't keep up with him.  When Steiner slowed the match down, he could out power and out brawl Booker so it was a fairly back and forth match.  During the match, Rob Van Dam walked out onto the stage and began watching the match.  The closing moments of the match would see Steiner go for a Steinerline but Booker ducked, kicked Steiner and hit an Axe Kick!  Booker covered for the one ... two ... THR ... NO!  Booker sent to send Steiner into the ropes, Steiner reversed and Booker came off with a spinning forearm shot!  SPINAROONI!  Booker went for a Harlem Sidekick, Steiner ducked and went for a Steinerline but Booker ducked and Steiner connected with the referee.  Booker then planted Steiner with the Neckwrecker!  Trish got up on the apron but Booker grabbed her by the hair.  Heyman came up but Booker grabbed him and bashed their heads together.  All of a sudden, up on the ramp, Eddy Guerrero nailed Rob Van Dam from behind!  Guerrero grabbed the World Championship belt and ran into the ring.  Booker turned around and Guerrero blasted him in the skull with the belt!  Steiner trapped Booker in the Steiner Recliner ... the referee crawled over, checked the arm and Booker T was out!

WINNER: Scott Steiner in 11:39.

Rating: ** 1/2

Afterwards, Scott Steiner raised his arm in the air.  Guerrero came back in and passed him the World Championship.  Steiner held it in his hands while Rob Van Dam got back to his feet.  RVD started heading down towards the ring.  Guerrero dove out with a plancha but RVD moved!  Van Dam slid into the ring and Steiner dropped the belt between them!  RVD drilled Steiner with a forearm then sent him into the ropes but Guerrero tripped up Steiner and pulled him out of the ring, 'holding' Steiner back as the show came to a close...
