NGW Ring Wars - October 21 / 2002

-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-

The Coliseum in Richmond, VA

-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-

"Praise" by Sevendust played in the background of the NGW Ring Wars opening sequence which featured a montage of various New Generation Wrestling superstars such as; Kane, Chris Kanyon, Randy Orton, The Dudley Boyz, John Cena, Taz, Brock Lesnar, Eddy Guerrero, Vampiro, Raven, Jeff Jarrett, Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, Scott Steiner and more.  This is New Generation Wrestling and this is RING WARS...

We entered The Coliseum with Joey Styles and Paul Heyman hyping up tonight's show.  Tonight;  CHRIS JERICHO and BROCK LESNAR will defend their NGW World Tag Team Titles against THE DUDLEY BOYZ.  KANE will go one-on-one with RAVEN!!! Also, 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' Ken Shamrock is here tonight to speak with Shawn Michaels...

["Don't Turn Your Back"]

The Wolfpac headed out of the entrance in full force, their heads held high after the mass destruction they caused last week...

STEINER:  "As I look at the crowd tonight here in Richmond, Virgina, I see a lot of hooches trying to flirt with the Big Poppa.  Now if all you freaks wanna tease me, you better be ready to please me!  But as I look at all the white trash out in the crowd, as I look at you physically, I know you can't satisfy these hooches.  So I'm just the man to get the job done.  So to all my freaks out there that are just waiting to get a feel of the largest arms in the world, you better be ready to match up to my favorite freak or else you ain't good enough for the big bad booty daddy!"

JARRETT:  "Last week there was one down point for the Wolfpac and that was the fact that Rob Van Dam got lucky against Eddy Guerrero.  Eddy had you flat out beaten to a pulp last week, Van Dam.  You couldn't hit your Five Star Frog Splash, you couldn't beat Guerrero so what did you do?  You cheated!  The match should have been thrown out but that's ok!  But tonight Van Dam, if you're man enough to put the World Championship on the line against The Chosen One, you won't be so lucky!"

["Walk" by Pantera]

The NGW World Championship, 'The Whole F'n Show' Rob Van Dam walked out of the entrance with a microphone...

VAN DAM:  "You know what, Jarrett?  You and the whole damn Wolfpac is really starting to piss me off!  What you did last week was make yet another enemy and I can only speak for Rob Van Dam but I'm not gonna stop until I take down the Wolfpac.  So Jarrett, you can have a shot at the World Championship, same rules as Eddy Guerrero got.  But you're just gonna end up like Eddy Guerrero last week, flat on your back and beaten by the Whole F'n Show!"

RVD's music hit as he pointed to himself and we headed to a break.  Rob Van Dam defends the NGW World Championship against Jeff Jarrett tonight!

(1) Jamie Knoble v. Super Crazzy

Rating: ****

We headed backstage where Chris Jericho was pacing around and talking on his cell phone...

JERICHO:  "Where are you?  So you're gonna be here, right?  Brock, you're breaking up.  This why we travel together, I said this is why we ... forget it.  Just get here, we've gotta defend against The Dudley Boyz!  Yes, The Dudley Boyz.  No I'm not worried.  I'll go try and get the match postponed."

(2) Saturn & Chris Kanyon v. Essa Rios & La Parka

"Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson blasted over the speakers as The Flock's Saturn and Chris Kanyon made their way out to the ring.  Then, "Papi Chulo" by Funkdoobiest blared over the speakers as Essa Rios and La Parka headed out to the ring.  The winners of this match will get a shot at the World Tag Team Titles at November To Remember.  The ending would see Rios hit a springboard armdrag on Kanyon.  Rios followed that up with the Moonsault for the one ... two ... THR ... Saturn breaks up the pin!  Parka came in after Saturn.  Parka tried to clothesline Saturn out but Saturn dodged it and hit a savate kick on Parka!  Rios went for a frankensteiner on Saturn but Saturn countered it with a power bomb.  Kanyon held Rios over his knee while Saturn went up top and came off with a Bombs Away Kneedrop to Rios!  Kanyon covered for the one ... two ... THREE!  Saturn and Kanyon look great as a tag team and they will get a shot at Chris Jericho & Brock Lesnar's World Tag Team Titles at November To Remember!

WINNERS: The Flock in 5:03.

Rating: ** 3/4

["Oh! Oh! Shawn!"]

We returned to the ring as the NGW Commissioner, 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels headed out to the ring and took a microphone...

MICHAELS:  "When The Heartbreak Kid makes a bold statement, when Shawn Michaels makes a promise, you can take it to the bank.  Last week I said that 'The World's Most Dangerous Man' would be here tonight.  So let's bring him out and get him signed.  Ladies and gentlemen, KEN SHAMROCK!"

["I Will Be Heard" by Hatebreed]

'The World's Most Dangerous Man' Ken Shamrock walked out of the entrance to a big reaction from the crowd.  Shamrock headed down to the ring where he took a microphone...

MICHAELS:  "Ken, it's great to see you back on the big stage.  I know you've been doing a little shoot fighting and all but we here in New Generation Wrestling, we want Ken Shamrock."

SHAMROCK:  "Thank you, Shawn.  First off, I wasn't sure if I wanted to come back to wrestling full-time.  Fighting is in my blood but so is wrestling and as soon as I stepped through that curtain and heard all the people.  Man, it's made me think.  I've had a lot of ups and some downs in this business and I don't know if I can go through it all again."

["Break Down The Walls" by Sevendust]

Ken Shamrock was interrupted as Chris Jericho emerged from the entrance.  Jericho headed down to the ring, and grabbed the microphone out of HBK's hand.

JERICHO:  "Look Shawn, no one gives a damn about Kenny boy here, it really doesn't matter if he signs or not because Chris Jericho has a major problem that you need to take care of.  Brock Lesnar's flight in got delayed and he's stuck in some traffic, we gotta post pone that World Tag Team Titles match until next week."

SHAMROCK:  "Chris ... Chris ... Chris Jericho, do you really think you're being smart?  What no one cares about is your problems so why don't you take a hike because this is my time."

JERICHO:  "Your time?  You're just taking time away from a Living Legend, from a larger than life superstar.  You're taking Chris Jericho's time for your silly little negotiations, Scamrock.  I'll give you a tip, don't sign the contract because I don't think you can cut it around here.'

SHAMROCK:  "Is that so?  The last time I remember standing in a ring with you, I was kicking your larger than life ass."

Chris Jericho smacks Shamrock right in the face!

JERICHO:  "You don't talk to a living legend like that!  Who the hell do you think you are to talk like that to Chris Jericho?  If you're the World's Most Dangerous Man then I'm ugly and we all know that Chris Jericho has a face made for television."

Ken Shamrock exploded, taking down Jericho with a belly-to-belly suplex!  Shamrock grabbed Jericho in the Ankle Lock!  Jericho tapped and crawled to the ropes.  Jericho grabbed the ropes and pulled himself out to the floor then backed up the ramp.  Shamrock grabbed the contract out of Michaels' hands and signed it then picked up the microphone...

SHAMROCK:  "Somebody tell that punk ass imitaor in that other promotion that the REAL master of the Ankle Lock is BACK!"

Shamrock's music sounded as he shook hands with Shawn Michaels.  Ken Shamrock has signed with NGW!

(3) Taz v. Trent Acid - Non-Title

"WAR MACHINE" blasted over the speakers as the NGW United States Heavyweight Champion, 'The Human Suplex Machine' Taz headed out to the ring for this non-title match.  Then, "Chase" by Giorgio Moroder blared over the speakers as Trent Acid made his way out to the ring.  Taz is coming off a rough week last week.  He thought he had the World Championship locked up but Van Dam surprised him with a pin.  The next night Taz toyed with the rookie Randy Orton and got beat again.  Taz wasn't playing around tonight with Trent Acid.  The ending would see Taz dump Acid with a release tiger tazplex!  Taz picked up Acid and placed him up top.  Taz went up for a super overhead belly-to-belly tazplex but Acid fought him off.  Acid shoved Taz to the mat and came off with a Twisting Moonsault for the one .... two ... NO! NO! Taz kicked out!  It almost happened again!  Taz decked Acid with a lariat.  Taz quickly picked up Acid and dumped him on his head with a german tazplex!  Taz stalked Acid and locked in the Tazmission for the submission!

WINNER: Taz in 3:02.

Rating: *

After the match, Taz grabbed a microphone and seemed rather calm, much calmer then we've seen in recent weeks.

TAZ:  "What the hell happened last week?  How could this punk kid, Randy Orton, beat Taz?  You'd expect me to be pissed off but no, that's cool with Taz.  Randy Orton, congradulations, you beat the one man crime spree.  It's real simple, brotha, we're gonna get in the ring one more time and it won't be pretty.  There won't be no big upset, there won't be no surprises, it will just be you and the Human Suplex Machine.  That's it, brotha, just me and you.  Randy Orton, would you give this veteran from Red Hook a rematch?  That's all I ask, brotha, just a rematch."

["Here To Stay" by KoRn]

Randy Orton walked out of the entrance with a microphone in hand...

ORTON:  "Just a rematch?  That's all you want?  You don't wanna run your mouth about choking me out, crippling me, ending my career?  You just want a rematch with little ol' Randy Orton?  ... No, sorry, I already beat you, there's nothing more me to gain by beating you again.  Sorry Taz, no rematch."

TAZ:  "Oh you wise ass son of a bitch, you're gonna give me a rematch, brotha because the way I see it, you got no other choice.  You can either try and be somebody or be a nobody.  Be the failure that disgraced the Orton name.  Or you can step in the ring with me at November To Remember and try to take this United States Heavyweight Title away from me!"

ORTON:  "Now that's more to my liking.  You've got the match but before I go I just wanna ask you one question.  When I beat you again, will they call it an upset?  Or will they say that you're past your prime and Randy Orton's time has come?"

TAZ:  "Real funny, brotha, real funny.  I'm gonna truly make this a November To Remember and a night that you will always regret.  Beat me if you can ... SURVIVE IF I LET YOU!"

  We headed to the break...

["Come Out And Play" by Offspring]

As we returned from the break, Raven walked out of the entrance with Chris Kanyon.  Raven is scheduled to take on Kane tonight.  Raven went into the ring and took a microphone...

RAVEN:  "As much as I would like to deliver the final blow to Kane tonight and being his spiral back into a bottomless pit of agony, I'm feeling a little under the weather.  What about my health?  What about me?  WHAT ABOUT RAVEN?!  I cannot wrestle tonight and therefore, Kanyon has volunteered to take my place against Kane.  You can do it, Kanyon, I believe in you."

KANYON:  "But I just wrestled (Raven starts walking towards him), and it warmed me up, yeah, that's it.  Kane can't hurt me cause who's bettah than Kanyon to take your place, right?"

RAVEN:  "Kane, your purgatory begins now.  Quote the Raven, NEVERMORE!"

(4) Chris Kanyon v. Kane

Raven left the ring and joined Styles and Heyman on commentary.  "Slow Chemical" by Finger Eleven blared over the speakers as 'The Big Red Machine' Kane headed out to the ring.  Kane looked at Raven and Kanyon jumped from behind.  As Kanyon said this is his second match tonight so he's gotta be tired.  Kanyon used the sneak attack to his advantage but was really no match for Kane's power.  The ending would see Kanyon go for a swinging fisherman suplex but Kane blocked it and hit a hanging vertical suplex.  Kane tried to drop an elbow but Kanyon moved.  Kanyon chop blocked Kane and covered him with two feet on the ropes for the one ... two ... NO!  Kane kicked out!  Kanyon pulled Kane in for the Flatliner but Kane just throttled Kanyon and hit the Choke Slam!  Kane covers for the one ... two ... THREE!

WINNER: Kane in 4:49.

Rating: * 3/4

After the match, Raven slid into the ring and drilled Kane from behind with a chair.  Kane went down to a knee but then got up and turned around.  Raven drilled him in the head with a vicious chair shot!  All of a sudden 'X' came into the ring, spun Raven around and spiked him with a piledriver!  This 'X' escaped through the crowd as The Flock began to rush out to Raven's aid...

We cut backstage to see The Dudley Boyz exit their dressing room.  The Dudley Boyz have the daring task of challenging Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar for the World Tag Team Titles ... NEXT!

(5) The Dudley Boyz v. Chris Jericho & Brock Lesnar (c) - NGW World Tag Team Titles

"Turn The Tables" by Saliva blasted over the speakers as the challengers, The Dudley Boyz headed out to the ring.  Then, "Break The Walls Down" by Sevendust blared over the speakers as the NGW World Tag Team Champions, Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar made his way out to the ring.  Jericho and Lesnar had little time to prepare for this title defense as Lesnar was late to the arena and Jericho got into a scuffle with Ken Shamrock earlier.  The Dudley Boyz were looking to take advantage of that.  They used a lot of double teaming on Lesnar and tried to isolate Jericho.  The ending would see Buh Buh go for a Buh Buh Bomb on Lesnar but Lesnar elbowed him off.  Lesnar grabbed Buh Buh and ran him into his corner then made the tag to Jericho.  Jericho chopped away on Buh Buh then pulled him out for the Breakdown but Buh Buh elbowed off and hit a sidewalk slam for two.  Buh Buh went for a senton but Jericho moved.  Jericho went up to the second rope and hit a missile dropkick for two.  Ken Shamrock began walking down towards the ring, pointing towards Jericho and making a breaking motion with his hands.  Brock Lesnar jumped down off the apron and stood in Shamrock's path.  Jericho just smiled as Lesnar looked down at Shamrock. Buh Buh had made the tag to D-Von.  D-Von spun Jericho around and ... 3D!  3D on Jericho!  D-Von covers Jericho ... one ... two ... Lesnar turns around ... THREE!  The Dudley Boyz have won the World Tag Team Titles!

WINNERS: The Dudley Boyz in 7:56.

Rating: **

(The Dudley Boyz won the NGW World Tag Team Titles.)

Afterwards, Ken Shamrock walked to the back, his mission accomplished.  The Dudley Boyz grabbed the World Tag Team Titles and escaped the ring as Brock Lesnar came back in.  Jericho started to come to and was irate!

We cut to a shot of 'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett leaving the Wolfpac's locker room with Trish Stratus.  Jeff Jarrett has his shot at the World Championship in our MAIN EVENT and it is NEXT!

(Main Event) Jeff Jarrett v. Rob Van Dam (c) - NGW World Championship

"Don't Turn Your Back" sounded over the speakers as the Wolfpac's 'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett headed out to the ring.  Then, "Walk" by Pantera blared over the speakers as the NGW World Champion, 'The Whole F'n Show' Rob Van Dam made his way out to the ring.  Jeff Jarrett issued the challenge at the top of the show and Rob Van Dam was quick to accept with the same stipulations as he defense last week against Eddy Guerrero.  The Wolfpac is barred from interfering or else Jarrett will be automaticaly disqualified.  This would a very solid matchup.  Rob Van Dam's neck seemed to be in better shape this week and he wasn't favoring it so much.  The closing moments of the match would see Jarrett hit an atomic drop and a swinging neckbreaker on Van Dam for the one ... two ... NO!  Jarrett covered again for two and once more but Van Dam kicked out.  Jarrett slugged away on RVD, backing him into the corner.  Jarrett hammered on Van Dam then mocked him.  Jarrett hit a snap mare then went up to the second rope and hit a flying fistdrop on Van Dam for the one ... two ... THR ... NO!  Jarrett tried to send RVD into the ropes but RVD reversed it.  Van Dam went for a dropkick but Jarrett held onto the ropes.  Jarrett locked RVD in a figure four leglock!  Jarrett inched over and held onto the ropes, trying to get RVD to submit.  Van Dam managed to turn it over and Jarrett broke the hold.  Jarrett tried to send RVD into the corner but Van Dam reversed it, rlled in and hit a monkey flip!  Van Dam fired away on Jarrett with forearms, sent Jarrett into the corner.  RVD hit some shoulders to the gut, backflipped and came in but Jarrett moved.  Van Dam sprung up to the second rope and hit a crossbody for the one ... two ... THR ... NO!  RVD kicked Jarrett in the gut then hit a spin kick!  Van Dam bounced off the ropes and hit the Rolling Thunder for the one ... two ... THR ... NO!  Jarrett got the foot on the ropes!  Van Dam argued with the ref.  Jarrett caught RVD with a hotshot!  Jarrett headed to the top but RVD caught up to him.  Van Dam and Jarrett fought on the top then Van Dam hit a superplex!  Van Dam sprung back up to the top and FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH!  Connects!  RVD covers for the one ... two ... THREE!  Rob Van Dam retains the World Championship!

WINNER: Rob Van Dam in 11:34.

After the match, Konnan hit the ring but Van Dam caught him with a spinning mule kick!  Eddy Guerrero came off the top with a missile dropkick to RVD!  Steiner made his way in and joined the Wolfpac in assaulting Rob Van Dam.  John Cena bolted out to the ring but for the second straight week he fell victim to odds as the Wolfpac controlled.  BOOKER T!  Booker T is back and hits the ring!  Booker catches Jarrett with a spinebuster!  A roundhouse kick for Konnan!  Guerrero drills Booker from behind and sends him into the ropes but Booker comes off with a Harlem Sidekick!  Booker T started slugging away on Big Poppa Pump when PAUL HEYMAN slid into the ring and drilled Booker T in the back with a chair!  Booker held his back and turned around then Steiner drilled him in the back and flattened Booker with a power bomb!  Jeff Jarrett, Eddy Guerrero and Konnan all got back into the ring as Heyman grabbed a microphone...

HEYMAN:  "Gentlemen, as I sit over there, each and every week and I watch your four men destroy everything in your path.  As I watch you take your rightful spots on top of this promotion, I can't help but that in some way it's all being cheapened.  Scott Steiner, the most dominant man this industry has ever produced, when you took Kevin Nash and you threw him aside like yesterday's garbage, a big smile came across my face.  That was ruthless, that was the mark of a great leader.  You took the Wolfpac and you've turned it into the most feared and most dominant group in this industry.  However, the name itself, the Wolfpac, the T-shirts, the music, it all carries with it the reputation of a soft group, a weak group, an unfocused group.  You are dangerous, you are strong and you are focused.  Just look a the carnage in this ring.  Please just give me a moment of silence so I can adminster the last rites to these fallen wrestlers in the ring.  (Gives the Last Rites in Latin).  DEATH TO JOHN CENA!  DEATH TO BOOKER T!  DEATH TO ROB VAN DAM!  And most importantly gentlemen, DEATH TO THE WOLFPAC and you are the four men that will give life to the DANGEROUS ALLIANCE!"

Paul Heyman stuck out his hand and Scott Steiner shook it!  Steiner raised Heyman's hand in the air then Heyman began shaking the hands of Guerrero, Jarrett, Konnan and Stratus.  The Wolfpac is dead ... and the Dangerous Alliance has been reborn!
