-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==- NGW Ring Wars - August 19 / 2002 -==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==- We saw Joey
Styles read a prepared statement from NGW Management regarding the wrestler
known as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. STYLES: "In
light of recent circumstances surrounding the personal life of Steve Williams
aka. Stone Cold Steve Austin, New Generation Wrestling has given Steve an
indefinate leave of absence from the company.
New Generation Wrestling does not condone his actions but does not
believe in kicking people when they are down and feel that Steve's recent
actions are not in his character. NGW is
giving Steve an opportunity to seek out the help required to get his life back
in order. There is no time table on a
possible return of Steve Austin but if he can take the steps required to
change, NGW will consider giving him another chance. Thank you." We then went to
stills from last night's NGW SuperClash where 'The Whole F'n Show' Rob Van Dam
defeated Chris Jericho in a somewhat contreversial finish. That win gave Rob Van Dam a shot at Scott
Steiner and the World Championship later in the night. Rob Van Dam did the impossible and defeated
Scott Steiner for the NGW World Championship.
A new era has begun in New Generation Wrestling, the era of R-V-D.
"Praise" by Sevendust played in the background of the NGW Ring
Wars opening sequence which featured a montage of various New Generation
Wrestling superstars such as; Kane, Chris Kanyon, Randy Orton, The Dudley Boyz,
Taz, Brock Lesnar, Eddy Guerrero, Vampiro, Raven, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash,
Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner and
more. This is New Generation Wrestling
and this is RING WARS... We entered the
arena but were immediatly met by music... ["Walk" by Pantera] 'The Whole F'n
Show' Rob Van Dam stepped out of the entrance with the NGW World Championship
over his shoulder. Van Dam headed down
to the ring to a big reaction from the crowd.
Van Dam took a microphone... VAN DAM:
"Last night was the sweetest revenge that Rob Van Dam could get on
Scott Steiner. Scott Steiner tried to
break my neck, he tried to break my back and he tried to put R-V-D out for
good. Last night, I took all of Scott
Steiner's cheap shots, his trash talking, his everything and shoved it right
back in his face. Scott Steiner called
me a bitch, the Whole F'n Bitch infact but Steiner, wherever you are now, if
I'm a bitch and I kicked your ass and took your World Championship then what
does that make you? Now when I look out
all these people, I see the smiles on their faces because everybody's favorite
wrestler Rob Van Dam is rightfully the NGW World Champion!" ["Break The Walls Down" by Sevendust] 'Y2J' Chris
Jericho walked out of the entrance and interrupted Rob Van Dam. Jericho had a microphone in hand... JERICHO:
"Shawn Michaels may have thrown Chris Jericho out of the building
last night but he can't ... can't ...
CAN'T STOP CHRIS JERICHO! Rob Van Dam,
in your self ego stroking session out here you failed to mention one very
important detail. That detail is that
you don't deserve to be standing there the World Champion because last night,
junior, you didn't beat Chris Jericho.
Roll the footage..." (The footage is shown of the pinfall where Rob Van Dam
got his shoulder up but on the other side, which the referee didn't see, Chris
Jericho also raised his shoulder.) JERICHO:
"[smiles] Well would you
look at that. Chris Jericho doesn't lie,
I only speak the truth but you don't even need my words when you have the proof
right there. Chris Jericho was screwed
and you, Rob Van Dam, didn't beat me!
Hell I have no problem is someone can beat me straight up, I'd even
shake their hand but you, my friend, didn't ... beat ... ME!" VAN DAM: "To
borrow a phrase from you ... Would you please SHUT THE HELL UP! What'd you want from me? I don't referee, I didn't make the count, but
what I can do is this. I can shut you up
for good and give you a shot at the World Championship at Revenge under one
condition." JERICHO:
"What's that?" VAN DAM:
"When I beat you, you have to shake my hand and admit defeat to the
Whole F'n Show!" JERICHO:
"You've got it, jackass, because there's no way that you could
never eh .. eh ... EVER beat me! No one
ever accused you of being smart and you've just proven how dumb you are, RVD,
cause that World Championship is coming around the fine waist of Y2J at
Revenge, junior." All of a sudden,
Brock Lesnar came out of the crowd.
Lesnar hit the ring and decked Van Dam from behind with a lariat. Lesnar picked up Van Dam and planted him with
a spiral bomb! Chris Jericho called off
Lesnar and Lesnar walked left the ring, sending a message to Rob Van Dam... Opening Match: Randy Orton v. Scott Vick. "Here To Stay" by KoRn blared over
the speakers as Randy Orton headed out to the ring for our first match. Then, "(sic)" by Slipknot blasted
over the speakers as The Flock's 'Sick' Scott Vick made his way out to the
ring. Last night, Orton turned his attention
to Scott Vick during a match with Chris Kanyon and it ended up costing him a
Pay-Per-View win. Orton and Vick battled
back and forth in a high impact match.
The ending would see Orton go for a bulldog but Vick grabbed Orton and
planted him with a cobra clutch slam.
Vick headed up top and came off with a flying axehandle but Orton caught
him with a dropkick. Orton sent Vick
into the ropes but Vick came off with a dropkick to the knee. Vick picked up Orton for the Cure but Orton
countered it with a backdrop. Orton
quickly went up top and as Vick staggered to his feet Orton hit the High Cross
Body for the one ... two ... THREE!
Randy Orton gets back to winning and gains some revenge over Scott Vick. WINNER: Randy Orton in 4:51. Rating: * 1/4 [backstage] The Coach got
some comments from an irate NGW World Champion, Rob Van Dam... VAN DAM:
"Chris Jericho, Brock Lesnar, you wanna jump on me? Jump on Rob Van Dam? Alright ... that's cool. Why don't one or both of you come get a piece
of the World Champion next week? Not a
sneak attack from behind but straight up against THE WHOLE F'N SHOW!" Match #2: Juventud Guerrera v. Low Ki'. "Size 'Em Up" by Big L blared over
the speakers as 'The Juice' Juventud Guerrera headed out to the ring. Then, "Boom" by Soulfly blasted
over the speakers as Low Ki' walked out to the ring. Juvy suffered a tough loss to Rey Misterio
Jr. last night in the Mexican Death Match for the World Cruiserweight
Title. Juvy got several pinfalls on
Misterio but was unable to keep Rey down for the ten count. Juvy was looking to get back on the winning
track against Low Ki' while Low Ki' looked to capitalize on the fact Juvy might
be fatigued after last night's grueling match.
The ending would see Low Ki' go for a jumping side kick but Juvy
ducked. Juvy powerslammed Low Ki' down
then headed up top but Low Ki' got to his feet and crotched Juvy. Low Ki' headed across the ring and came in with
a handspring jumping enziguri! Juvy fell
down to the canvas and Low Ki' went up top.
Low Ki' came off with a Phoenix Splash but Juvy rolled out of the
way! Juvy staggered to his feet, his
ears ringing from that kick. Juvy picked
up Low Ki' and went for the Running Power Bomb but Low Ki' dropped out and
drilled Juvy with a roundhouse kick! Low
Ki' scooped up Juvy and spiked him with the Ki Krusher! Low Ki' covers for the one ... two ...
THREE! Low Ki' has scored a major upset
here over Juventud Guerrera! A big win
for Low Ki'! WINNER: Low Ki' in 8:21. Rating: **** 1/4 [backstage] We cut to a shot
of 'Big Sexy' Kevin Nash and 'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett arriving to the
arena... Match #3: Evolution v. The Dudley Boyz. "Intergalactic" by Beastie Boys
blared over the speakers as Evolution of Jason Jett and Nova made their way out
to the ring. Then, "Turn The
Tables" by Saliva blasted over the speakers as The Dudley Boyz headed out
to the ring. Evolution is a young team
trying to get to the top of the tag team division while The Dudley Boyz are a
veteran team that's trying to get back to the top. The ending of this match would see Jett go
for the Crash Landing on Buh Buh but Buh Buh blocked it with some elbows then
planted Jett with a BUh Buh Bomb for the one ... two ... THR ... Nova breaks
the count! That brought in D-Von
Dudley. D-Von hit Nova with a few shots
then tried to send him into the ropes but Nova reversed it. D-Von came off with a spinning elbow smash! Buh Buh slammed down Nova then D-Von headed
up top and hit the flying headbutt! Nova
rolled out of the ring in pain. Jett had
gone out to the apron and Jett came in with an Afterburner for D-Von but D-Von
ducked, lifted up Jett and Buh Buh hit the 3D!
Buh Buh makes the cover on Jett for the one ... two ... THREE! A real solid win for The Dudley Boyz as they
attempt to get back to the top of the tag team mountain. WINNERS: The Dudley Boyz in 5:22. Rating: ** ["Don't Turn Your Back (Wolfpac Theme)"] 'The Chosen One'
Jeff Jarrett and 'Big Sexy' Kevin Nash stepped out of the entrance wearing red
T-shirts with a black wolf on the front.
Once in the ring, Nash took a microphone... NASH: "Incase
you're dumber then you look, and you look pretty dumb, you can see what's going
on in this ring. The Wolfpac is
reborn. See, we'd all like to think that
its one on one in this business, that you can get to the top and stay there as
a lone wolf. That just isn't the case,
that's not reality. The reality is to
survive in this business and more importantly to keep your spot at the top, you
need friends. You know, when I came here
a couple months ago I thought I had a friend in Shawn Michaels but I was
wrong. I'm not gonna try to change
Shawn, I don't have time for that so what I did was go to a man I can
trust. A man that won't stab me in the back
and that man is Jeff Jarrett. Speak to
'em, Chosen One." JARRETT: "You
all might be saying to yourselves, but Jeff Jarrett wasn't in the original
Wolfpac. Well this is here and now. This is NGW.
This is Kevin Nash and Jeff Jarrett running together. We're mean, we're hungry, we're unforgiving
and when you're all of those things you're a wolf and wolves need to run in a
pack. What you see before you is the
Wolfpac. Is this just the beginning or
will there be more? That depends if
there's anymore wolves out there." NASH: "Some
of you might be wondering what is the Wolfpac?
The Wolfpac isn't just some t-shirt but ... BUY THE SHIRT! No, it isn't just a t-shirt or some colors or
some gimmick. The Wolfpac signifies an
attitude, a demeanor and a way of life.
We'll do whatever the hell we want to whoever the hell we want cause
nobody and I mean NOBODY has the ... guts to stop us! The Wolfpac isn't just in the house, we're
runnin' this house!" ["Can You Dig It? SUCKA!"] The crowd went wild
as Booker T stepped out of the entrance with a microphone in hand... BOOKER: "Now
that we all know what's goin' on around here, now that we know what went down
last night, let me axe you two suckas a question ... No, let me tell you two
suckas somethin'! Wolfpac, I don't care
what the hell you say it stands for cause to Booker T, all the Wolfpac stands
for is two punk ass clowns that are just waiting to get beat down by the Bookah
man! You might have spoiled my first
match last night and hell you put me down but damn its gonna take a hell of a
lot more then that to keep Booker T down!" JARRETT:
"That's about all I can take of you, slapnuts. I think I scrambled your brains with that
Piledriver last night." BOOKER: "Save
the drama for yo mama, Jarrett. I'll lay
it right out on the line for ya. You
wanna step to me, Jarrett? Step up,
Jarrett, be a man instead of a punk ass bitch!
Now can you dig that? SUCKA!" JARRETT: "Oh
I can dig it, Booker, I can dig it real well.
I'll see you in the ring tonight, slappy but you don't have a clue what
you're dealing with in the Wolfpac.
Choke on that." Booker T and Jeff
Jarrett to go one-on-one ... TONIGHT! Match #4: Psicosis v. Essa Rios. "Loco" by Coal Chamber blasted over
the speakers as 'Nicho El Millionaro' Psicosis headed out to the ring for our
next match. Then, "Papi Chulo"
by Funkdoobiest blared over the speakers as Essa Rios made his way out to the
ring. With Rey Misterio Jr. retaining
over Juventud Guerrera last night combined with Juvy's loss tonight to Low Ki'
the top challengers spot in the World Cruiserweight division is wide open. Psicosis and Essa Rios are two of the top
wrestlers in the division and both were looking to move towards that
challengers slot with a win over the other.
The ending would see Psicosis go for a wheelbarrow suplex but Essa Rios
countered it with a bulldog in mid-move.
Rios rolled up Psicosis with a Magistral Cradle for the one ... two ...
THR ... NO! Psicosis got a shoulder
up! Rios tried to send Psicosis into the
ropes but Psicosis reversed it but Rios came off with an asai moonsault
bodyblock for the one ... two ... THR ... NO! NO! Rios slammed down Psicosis and headed up for
the Moonsault! Rios comes off but
Psicosis rolls out of the way! Psicosis
planted Rios with a falcon arrow for the one ... two ... THR ... NO! Rios gets a shoulder up! Psicosis headed up top but was too slow as
Rios came up with a springboard armdrag taking Psicosis off the top! Rios to the top and hits the Moonsault! Rios covers Psicosis for the one ... two ...
THREE! Rios gets it and gets a big win
over Psicosis! WINNER: Essa Rios in 9:07. Rating: *** [backstage] The Coach got a
response from Chris Jericho (and Brock Lesnar) concerning Rob Van Dam's challenge. JERICHO: "Did
I hear RVD right? He wants a piece of
Chris Jericho and/or Brock Lesnar next week?
Is he crazy? Rob Van Dam, I've
already got my shot at you at Revenge and as much as I'd like to see Lesnar
break you in half, I want that World Championship. So next week, why don't you find yourself a
partner and face Chris Jericho and Brock Lesnar in a tag team match? You better find some hell of a partner to go
up against this." Match #5: Vampiro v. Devon Storm. "Kong At The Gates" by The Misfits
sounded over the speakers as 'The Dark Angel' Vampiro headed out to the
ring. Then, "Terrible Lie" by
Nine Inch Nails blasted over the speakers as 'Dangerous' Devon Storm made his
way out to the ring. Vampiro suffered a
loss to Jeff Jarrett last night after a Piledriver on the guitar. Devon Storm and Sabu went down to Raven and
Kane in the World Tag Team Titles match and apparently Sabu suffered a bad neck
injury that will keep him out of action for quite some time. This would be a good close match between
Vampiro and Storm. The ending would see
Vampiro hit a sidewalk slam on Storm then head up top but Storm caught up top
him and hit a top-rope frankensteiner!
Storm covered for the one ... two ... THR ... NO! Storm went for the Mind Bender but Vampiro
elbowed him off then hit a superkick for the one ... two ... THR ... NO! Vampiro sent Storm into the corner and
charged in but Storm go the feet up and hit a Tornado DDT! Storm headed to the top and came off with a
flying splash but Vampiro rolled out of the way! Vampiro scooped up Storm and hit the Vampiro
Spike for the one ... two ... THREE! A
hard fought win for Vampiro. WINNER: Vampiro in 6:41. Rating: ** 3/4 We then headed to
a video promo set to "Room to Breathe" by Project Wyze for NGW's next
Pay-Per-View offering ... NGW REVENGE ... The event comes to you on September
15th, live from the MCI Center in Washington, DC on Pay-Per-View! Main Event: Jeff Jarrett v. Booker T. "Don't Turn Your Back" sounded over
the speakers as 'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett of the Wolfpac made his way out
to the ring for our Main Event. Then,
"Can You Dig It? SUCKA!" blared over the speakers as Booker T walked
out of the entrance. Booker raised the
roof and his pyro exploded. Booker then
bolted into the ring and went right after Jarrett but in true Jarrett fashion,
he quickly ran out of the ring away from Booker. Booker gave chase, Jarrett slid in the other
side then stomped on Booker as he came in.
Jarrett stomped away on Booker then hammered him with rights and lefts
in the corner. Jarrett climbed the
corner and nailed Booker with rights.
Jarrett raised the Wolfpac sign but Booker grabbed Jarrett over his
shoulder, walked out and planted him with the 110th Street Slam! Booker got right on Jarrett and slugged
away. Jeff Jarrett, the first ever NGW
United States Heavyweight Champion, stepped back into the forefront last night
when he screwed Booker T over allowing Kevin Nash to get the win. That was followed up with the recreation of
the Wolfpac tonight and Booker T's challenge leading to this match. Jarrett and Booker really opened up on each
other and went at it in a real good match.
The closing moments of the match would see Jarrett hit a single arm DDT
on Booker for two. Jarrett sent Booker
into the corner and charged in but Booker flipped over with a rollup for
two. Booker got up and went for a quick
clothesline but Jarrett hit a hotshot!
Jarrett covered with his feet on the ropes for the one ... two ... THR
... NO! Booker kicks out! Jarrett
questioned the referee's count. Jarrett
picked up Booker and sent him into the ropes.
Booker came off with a flying forearm!
SPINAROONI! Booker then caught
Jarrett with a big Harlem Sidekick for the one ... two ... THR ... NO! Kevin Nash started coming from the back but
the referee went out and threatened him.
VAMPIRO bolted out and tried to take care of Nash. Wait ... From the crowd ... Konnan's in the
ring and rolling clothesline on Booker T!
Konnan's wearing a Wolfpac T-Shirt!
Konnan picks up Booker T and 187 Cradle DDT! Konnan slides out of the ring and ducks
down. Jarrett picks up Booker T and
PILEDRIVER! The referee slides back in
and counts the one ... not like this ... two ... not again ... THREE! For the second night in a row, Booker T has
been screwed over by the Wolfpac! WINNER: Jeff Jarrett in 13:22. Rating: *** 1/2 After the match,
Konnan ran up the aisle and began to double team on Vampiro with Kevin
Nash. Nash grabbed Vampiro and tossed
him head first into the guardrail. Nash
and Konnan walked back into the ring where Jarrett was stomping away on Booker
T. Nash picked up Booker T and dropped
him with a Jacknife Power Bomb! The
Wolfpac stood over Booker T, holding up the hand sign. Booker T may be tough, he may be great but he
is no match for three men... ==-==-==-==-==-==-== NGW News & Notes-: ==-==-==-==-==-==-== -Sabu suffered a stinger in his neck last night at
