"Praise" by Sevendust played in the background of the NGW Ring
Wars opening sequence which featured a montage of various New Generation
Wrestling superstars such as; Kane, Chris Kanyon, The Dudley Boyz, Taz, Brock
Lesnar, Sabu, Eddy Guerrero, Vampiro, Raven, Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash, Chris
Jericho, Rob Van Dam, 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin
and more. This is New Generation Wrestling
and this is RING WARS... We entered the
arena as Joey Styles and Paul Heyman welcomed everyone to the show. Tonight; we will hear from the newest NGW
superstar ... BOOKER T! Booker T made
his shocking debut last week after Kevin Nash turned on his friend Shawn
Michaels and we'll hear from Booker tonight.
We'll also hear from Shawn Michaels and get his reaction to Kevin Nash's
words and actions last week... ["Glass Shatters" by Disturbed] 'Stone Cold'
Steve Austin headed out of the entrance and down to the ring. Stone Cold took to the four corners then
grabbed a microphone... AUSTIN: "Last
week I heard Scott Steiner flapping his little gums about how he's beaten Stone
Cold Steve Austin before and how he wants some competition. Look into these eyes Steiner, this is
competition you don't want. I came into
NGW with a purpose and that was to be the number one man. To be the World Champion and you've been standing
in my way for too long, Steiner. And
when you stand in Stone Cold's way, you're fixing to get your ass whipped. But an ass whipping just isn't enough for
you. I've already opened up can after
can of whoop ass on your candy ass but that's just not good enough. EH! EH!
Stone Cold Steve Austin won't be satisfied until I've got that World
Championship around my waist! Scott
Steiner, when you step into the ring with Stone Cold Steve Austin at
SuperClash, you won't BE SCREWED, you ARE SCREWED and that's the bottom
line..." ["WAR MACHINE"] Stone Cold was
cut off as the NGW United States Heavyweight Champion, 'The Human Suplex
Machine' Taz walked out onto the stage with a microphone... TAZ: "Stone
... Cold ... Steve ... Austin! The Texas
Rattlesnake! The Toughest Son of a Bitch
in wrestling! Well, brah, let's see how
tough you are. Let's see how tough you
are when you got the Human Suplex Machine dumpin' you on your head? Let's see how tough you are when you step in
the ring with the One Man Crime Spree?
What's that? You seem a little
surprised that Taz is out here callin' your ass out. Well I hope you didn't forget about how you
hit me in head with a damn steel pipe last week cause I sure as hell
didn't. You're a man Stone Cold, I'm a
man, and let's do what man do when they gotta problem ... Let's settle it in
that ring, TONIGHT!" AUSTIN: "Am I
hearing you correctly? You want a piece
of Stone Cold Steve Austin tonight? Well
you walk your little orange ass down to the ring later and you'll get more of
Stone Cold then you bargained for and that's the bottom line 'cause STONE COLD
SAID SO!" TAZ: "Alls I
got to say to that is ... BEAT ME IF YOU CAN!
SURVIVE IF I LET YOU!" 'Stone Cold'
Steve Austin will go one-on-one with Taz tonight! What a huge main event! Opening Match: Jeff Jarrett v. Rob Van Dam. "Cowboy" by Kid Rock blared over
the speakers as 'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett headed out to the ring to kick
off action this week with a big match.
Then, "Walk" by Pantera blasted over the speakers as 'The
Whole F'n Show' Rob Van Dam made his way out to the ring. Jarrett employed a similar strategy as he did
against Rob Van Dam when they met a few months back at Hostile City Showdown as
The Chosen One attempted to ground RVD and neutralize his lethal kicks. RVD seemed to be expecting that and did a
good job fighting off Jarrett's attempts to take out his legs. The ending would see Van Dam go to the top
but Jarrett caught up to him. Jarrett
went up for a superplex but RVD shoved him off and hit a flying kick for the
one ... two ... THR ... NO! Van Dam
slammed down Jarrett and went for a cartwheel moonsault but Jarrett got the
knees up. Jarrett rolled up RVD tight
for the one ... two ... THR ... NO! NO!
Van Dam got the shoulder up! Both
men got up, Jarrett ducked a spin kick and hit a DDT for 2 3/4! Jarrett got frustrated and went to the
outside. Jarrett grabbed his guitar and
started to come back in but Vampiro exploded from the back. Vampiro grabbed the guitar from Jarrett as
Jarrett stepped through the ropes.
Jarrett yelled at Vampiro then turned around and ate a roundhouse kick
from Van Dam! RVD sprung to the top and
came off with the Five Star Frog Splash for the one ... two ... THREE! Rob Van Dam picks up a win as The Chosen One
continues to have problems with Vampiro. WINNER: Rob Van Dam in 7:08. Rating: ** 3/4 [backstage] The Coach got
some comments from the NGW Commissioner, 'The Heartbreak Kid' Shawn Michaels
regarding Kevin Nash's tirade last week... MICHAELS:
"For better or worse, I've always laid it all out there and been
honest. This is who I am now. I'm a chnaged man and I'm trying to be
fair. I'm trying to be honest and I'm
trying to do the right things. I'm fully
aware of that might come off as hypocritical but retirement has changed. I've been able to look back and learn from my
own mistakes. Big Kev, might not like it
but if I've gotta lose a friend because I'm a better man now then so be
it. I've got my family and that's all I
really care about." Match #2: Juventud Guerrera & Jung Dragons v. Rey Misterio
Jr. & Essa Rios & La Parka.
"Size 'Em Up" by Big L blared over the speakers as 'The Juice'
Juventud Guerrera and the Jung Dragons headed out to the ring for six man
Cruiserweight tag team action. Then,
"Ashes To Ashes" by Madd One blared over the speakers as the NGW
World Cruiserweight Champion, Rey Misterio Jr. made his way out to the ring
along with Essa Rios and La Parka.
Juventud Guerrera earned another shot at Rey Misterio Jr. and he'll get
that shot at SuperClash. This would be a
real good match with the Jung Dragons and Essa Rios & La Parka really out
to prove they belong in the upper echelon of Cruiserweights in NGW. The ending would see Essa Rios go for a
springboard armdrag on Yang but Yang dropkicked Rios in mid move sending Rios
to the floor! Yang dove out onto Rios
with a running twisting plancha! La
Parka came into the ring and did some dancing but Kaz kicked him in the back of
the head! Kaz charged at La Parka but
Parka backdropped Kaz out of the ring onto Yang! La Parka then dove through the ropes with a
huge tope! Juvy came in, bounced off the
ropes and came out with the Air Juvy!
Misterio was the only man left.
He bounced off the ropes but Juvy backed off so Misterio used the
Mascaras Fake-Out then came out with a springboard moonsault onto the
pile! What a trainwreck! Yang rolled Rios back into the ring, went up
top and came off with the Yang Time but Rios rolled out of the way! Rios positioned Yang then went up and hit the
Moonsault for the one ... two ... THREE!
Essa Rios scores the pinfall to pick up the win for his team! WINNERS: Rey Misterio Jr., Essa Rios & La Parka in
8:58. Rating: *** 1/2 [backstage] Raven is shown
sitting in a dark corner of the building with The Flock hanging around... RAVEN: "So
Sabu and Devon Storm have a shot at the World Tag Team Champions, me and
Kane. Sabu, while I'm not sure you're
even aware of what day it is or where you are but you have to be aware that
your tag team partner and new found friend, Devon Storm, is a failure. Storm, I gave you one simple assignment. One task.
All you had to do was beat Sabu and what did you do? You lost.
And then you gave him your respect.
What about me? WHAT ABOUT RAVEN? I took you in, I let you be a part of The
Flock and you failed me and you failed The Flock. Without you we've grown stronger and while
you appear to be strong, you are weak and you will fail once again at
SuperClash! So it was written, so it
shall come to pass ... Quote th.." Kanyon had been
pondering something the whole time and then interrupted Raven without
thinking.. KANYON: "Look
boss, something has been bothering me all week.
I can't believe I lost to Randy Orton last week. I just wanted to apologize for failing you
and tonight I will make up for it by beating Randy Orton. Who bettah than Kanyon? Right?
Don't worry, boss, I won't fail the Flock..." Chris Kanyon
walked off as Raven just shook his head at the goofy Kanyon... Match #3: Chris Kanyon v. Randy Orton. "Immune" by Godsmack blared over
the speakers as Chris Kanyon headed out to the ring. Kanyon looked more focused this week as he
was determined to make his 'boss' proud.
Then, "Pressure" by From Zero blared over the speakers as the
rookie Randy Orton made his way out to the ring. Orton shocked many including Kanyon with his
win in his debut match last week. Kanyon
looked sharper and wasn't taking Orton quite so lightly. Orton still put a great fight against Kanyon
and showing he has what it takes to one day become one of the greats. The ending would see Orton hit a pair of
dropkicks then go for a rocker dropper but Kanyon moved and went for a thrust
kick but Orton ducked and Kanyon caught the referee! Orton hit a bulldog but the referee was
out! Orton went over the check on the
ref but Kanyon came over and low blowed Orton then planted him with the
Flatliner! All of a sudden, Raven slid
into the ring. Kanyon smiled and pointed
to the downed Orton. Raven just kicked
Kanyon and spiked him with the Evenflow DDT!
What? Raven pulled Orton on top
of Kanyon and walked out of the ring.
The referee crawled over and counted the one ... two ... THREE! Randy Orton makes it two in a row over Kanyon
thanks to Raven?! What's the deal there? WINNER: Randy Orton in 5:07. Rating: * 1/2 We returned from
break with Joey Styles standing in the ring... STYLES: "Last
week we were set to welcome this man into New Generation Wrestling the
festivites were spoiled so we didn't get a chance to talk to him. But its my pleasure at this time to welcome,
one of the biggest superstars in this industry ... Ladies and gentlemen ...
BOOKER T!" ["Can You Dig It? SUCKA!"] The crowd roared
as Booker T headed out to the ring in street clothes. Booker T made his presence known last week
but Joey Styles got a chance to hear from Booker... STYLES:
"Alright, Booker T, first off welcome to NGW." BOOKER T:
"Its good to be here, man." STYLES:
"Right off the bat, everyone wants to know why you've come to New
Generation Wrestling?" BOOKER T:
"The main reason I came here is because of the competition. I looked over my options and I looked at
NGW. I saw guys like Stone Cold Steve
Austin, Scott Steiner, Rob Van Dam, Taz, all these guys and I wanted to see how
Booker T would fair against them. It was
time for a change for Booker T and a new challenges. NGW provides those new challenges so here I
am and I couldn't be happier, man.' STYLES: "Once
again, its great to have you here but we all wanna know ... When is Booker T
gonna make his in ring debut in NGW?" BOOKER T:
"That's a good question, I..." ["Wolfpac Theme"] Booker T was cut
off as 'Big Sexy' Kevin Nash walked out of the entrance with a scowl on his
face. Nash stepped over the top rope and
took a microphone... NASH: "Let me
answer that question for ya, Booker T.
You'll make your debut at SuperClash against me! That's when you'll make your debut. We may be both new around here but you got in
business last week and I don't appreciate when people get in my business." BOOKER T: "I
got up in your business cause you were outta line, man. I'll get up in your business whenever the
hell I want cause I ain't afraid of you, sucka.
You want me at SuperClash? You
got it! I'm gonna turn Big Sexy into a
Big Ugly Mess, now can you dig it? Sucka!" NASH: "Dig
this ... There's a Jacknife Powerbomb with your name on it, sucka!" Kevin Nash and
Booker T got in each other's faces before officials came out to prevent a
physical altercation... Match #4: Eddy Guerrero v. Low Ki'. "Siempre Peligroso" by Cypress Hill
blared over the speakers as Eddy Guerrero headed down to the ring for our next
matchup. Guerrero scored a big pinfall
over Taz last week after an errant lead pipe shot from Stone Cold Steve Austin.
"Boom" by Soulfly blasted over
the speakers as Low Ki' walked out to the ring.
Low Ki' is a dangerous striker and has shown flashes of brilliance so
far in NGW but is still very young and inexperienced. Low Ki' put up a real great fight against
Eddy Guerrero. The ending would see Low
Ki' go for the Ki Krusher but Guerrero raked the eyes. Guerrero headed to the top but got into a
shouting match with a fan. Low Ki' took
Guerrero's head off with a handspring enziguri!
Guerrero fell down to the mat, Low Ki went to the top and hit a Phoenix
Splash! Low Ki covers for the one ...
two ... THR ... NO! NO! Guerrero kicks out!
Low Ki' almost scored the upset of a life time! Low Ki went for the Ki Krusher but Guerrero
floated over and hit a reverse neckbreaker!
Guerrero picked Low Ki right up and spiked him with a brain buster. Guerrero headed to the top and came off with
the Frog Splash for the one ... two ... THREE!
Low Ki gave him a run but Eddy Guerrero prevailed. WINNER: Eddy Guerrero in 6:46. Rating: ** 3/4 Match #5: Scott Vick v. Brock Lesnar. "(sic)" by Slipknot blasted over
the speakers as The Flock's 'Sick' Scott Vick made his way out to the
ring. Then, "Head Up" by
Deftones blared over the speakers as Brock Lesnar walked out to the ring along
with 'Y2J' Chris Jericho. Jericho was
still sporting his nose cast due to the broken nose he suffered at the feet of
Rob Van Dam two weeks ago. Vick charged
Lesnar but Lesnar picked him up in a military press and tossed Vick to the
floor! Jericho encouraged Lesnar. Vick scraped himself up ot the apron and
rocked Lesnar with a springboard dropkick!
Vick headed to the top and came off with a cross body but Lesnar caught
Vick and hit a backbreaker. Lesnar held
on and hit another backbreaker and a third before throwing Vick to the mat like
a rag doll. The punishment continued for
a few more seconds until Lesnar ended it with the Terminator which got the
one-two-three! Brock Lesnar extends his
undefeated streak. WINNER: Brock Lesnar in 0:53. Rating: * After the match,
Chris Jericho raised Brock's hand in the air and continued to argue with fans
who were mocking his nose cast when... ["Walk" by Pantera] 'The Whole F'n
Show' Rob Van Dam walked out onto the stage with a microphone... VAN DAM:
"Jericho you may be injured and not allowed to wrestle but that big
bastard Brock Lesnar looks perfectly healthy to me. You wanna jump me? You wanna attack me from behind? Why don't you face me and we'll see how bad
Brock Lesnar is when he's getting kicked in the face!" Brock Lesnar was
seething and just nodding his head but Chris Jericho tried to calm him down... JERICHO:
"No! That's not gonna
happen! You're not facing Brock Lesnar
and I'll tell you why. Because you get
in the ring with this man then your career will be over! Brock Lesnar would destroy you but before
that happens I want payback for my face!
I want payback and I want it at SuperClash! After I get done with you then you can commit
suicide and challenge Brock Lesnar again!" VAN DAM: "You
know what? That's cool with me but at
SuperClash, if you think that kick that broke your nose was rough, you ain't
seen nothin' yet!" Van Dam's music
hit and he walked to the back as Chris Jericho continued to try and calm down
Brock Lesnar in the ring. Rob Van Dam
and Chris Jericho will go one-on-one at SuperClash! [backstage] The Coach was
standing outside the dressing room of the World Champion Scott Steiner. Coach opened the door, like the rude reporter
he is, and inside Scott Steiner was talking with Eddy Guerrero. Guerrero quickly slammed the door shut in
Coach's face. What's that about? Main Event: Steve Austin v. Taz - Non-Title. "Glass Shatters" by Disturbed
blared over the speakers as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin headed out to the ring
for our main event. Then, "WAR
MACHINE" blasted over the speakers as the NGW United States Heavyweight
Champion, 'The Human Suplex Machine' Taz walked out to the ring. Taz's U.S. Heavyweight Title is not on the
line here, this isn't about titles, this is about two men that have a problem
and are gonna fight it out in the ring.
The crowd was really into this one as two of the toughest men in NGW and
two of the most popular wrestlers duked it out.
Austin controlled a brawl early but Taz soon took over throwing Austin
around the ring with a variety of Tazplexes.
Stone Cold couldn't be thinking about his World Championship match
against Scott Steiner at SuperClash with all the punishment Taz was dishing
out. The closing moments of the match
would see Austin go for a vertical suplex but Taz blocked it and dumped Austin
with a belly to belly tazplex for one ... two ... THR ... NO! Taz took Austin up top and went up for a
belly-to-belly super tazplex but Austin fought him off and shoved Taz down to
the mat. Austin came off with an
axehandle but Taz caught him and dumped Austin with a Head & Arm Tazplex
for the one ... two ... THRENO! NO! NO!
Stone Cold kicked out! Taz
pounded on Austin with rights then sent him into the ropes but Austin came off
with the Lou Thesz Press, punched away then drove a forearm into Taz's face for
two. Austin went for a piledriver but
Taz countered it with a backdrop! Taz
went for the Tazmission but Austin slipped behind and locked Taz in a Million
Dollar Dream! Taz managed to fight out
and break it with a side suplex but both men were down and out. Eddy Guerrero came out of the entrance and
got up onto the apron! Taz got to his
feet first and saw Guerrero. Guerrero
swung at Taz but Taz ducked then caught Guerrero in the Tazmission! Guerrero dropped down hotshotting Taz on the
top rope! Taz staggered around and
Austin caught him with a Stone Cold Stunner!
Austin covers Taz for the one ... two ... THREE! Eddy Guerrero has just screwed Taz and 'Stone
Cold' Steve Austin picks up the win! WINNER: Steve Austin in 13:46. Rating: *** 1/4 After the match,
Guerrero slid right in and started choking away at Taz. Austin turned around and locked eyes with
Guerrero. Guerrero quickly slid out of
the ring away from Austin! Wait! All of a sudden Scott Steiner came into the
ring from the crowd and drilled Austin in the back of the head with the World
Championship belt! Austin got up to his
knees and Steiner blasted Austin in the face busting him open! This looks like a setup! A trap!
Steiner then locked Austin in the Steiner Recliner with a bloody Austin
screaming in pain as the show came to a close... ==-==-==-==-==-==-== NGW News & Notes-: ==-==-==-==-==-==-== -NGW RAGE taping results for Saturday, August 10th, 2002: Taka Michinoku pinned Allan Funk with the Michinoku
