-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-

"Praise" by Sevendust played in the background of the NGW Ring Wars opening sequence which featured a montage of various New Generation Wrestling superstars such as; Saturn, Too Cold Scorpio, The Sandman, Chris Kanyon, The Dudley Boyz, Taz, The Acolytes, William Regal, Sabu, Eddy Guerrero, Vampiro, Raven, Jeff Jarrett, Rob Van Dam, 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and more.  This is New Generation Wrestling and this is RING WARS...

We entered the arena with Joey Styles and Paul Heyman welcomed everyone to the show.  We're just six days away from Animosity and tonight we have a great Main Event with 'STONE COLD' STEVE AUSTIN going one-on-one with EDDY GUERRERO!  Raven, Devon Storm and Saturn team up against Saturn, Sabu, and Vampiro.  The ...

["Glass Shatters" by Disturbed]

Styles and Heyman were interrupted as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin headed out of the entrance and out to the ring.  The Texas Rattlesnake is on a collision course with Big Poppa Pump in just six days at Animosity.  Stone Cold took a microphone...

AUSTIN:  "Scott Steiner last week you cracked me upside the head with that lead pipe and got the one-two-three but if you think that's the way things are gonna go down this Sunday ... EH! EH!  You're wrong, dead wrong!  The way I see it is this ... You screwed me out of the World Championship once ... STRIKE ONE!  You tried to cripple me by bashing my knee into a truck ... STRIKE TWO!  You hit me the head with a lead pipe ... STRIKE THREE!  You're out!  But this ain't baseball, Steiner, you don't get to walk back to the dug out, no, three strikes means you gotta go one on one with the last sumbitch that you want to mess with.  Stone Cold Steve Austin is ready for Animosity ... are you?  Gimme a hell yeah if all of you are ready for Stone Cold Steve Austin to roll into Chi-Town and whip Big Poppa Pump's ass?  (HELL YEAH!)  That's not what's gonna happen, though.  No, sorry.  I want Steiner tonight!  Steiner, I'm calling your ass out right here, right now!"

["Siempre Peligroso" by Cypress Hill]

Eddy Guerrero walked out instead which didn't please Stone Cold.  Guerrero cupped his ear to the crowd...

AUSTIN:  "What?  You can't hear?  Incase you can't hear, they're chanting 'EDDY SUCKS!'"

GUERRERO:  "SHUT UP!  Usted los pedazos ignorantes de crap, Eddy Guerrero NO ASPIRA!  Oh I'm sorry, did I interrupt the Texas Rattlesnake?  Whhhhaaaaaat?  FORGET ABOUT STEINER!  You gotta deal with Eddy Guerrero tonight!  Whhhhaaaaat?"

AUSTIN:  "I'm gonna deal with you by going back to my dressing room and pulling out a bottle of Jose Cuervo.  WHAT?  Jose Cuervo!  I'm gonna pour myself a few shots of liquid courage just so I can deal with Eddy Guerrero.  Then I'm gonna walk down to the ring and deal with you by whippin' your ass!"

GUERRERO:  "Whhhhhaaaaaat?"

AUSTIN:  "Are you deaf?  First you couldn't hear all these people chanting EDDY SUCKS!  EDDY SUCKS!  Now you can't hear me say that I'm gonna whip your ass?  Well that's alright, Stone Cold Steve Austin always has a little sign language for ya!"

  Austin flips off Guerrero...

AUSTIN:  "And that's the bottom line ... What?  'CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO!"

  We'll be back with action...

Opening Match: Essa Rios v. Chris Candido - Cruiserweight Cup (Pool A).  "Papi Chulo" by Funkdoobiest blared over the speakers as Essa Rios headed out to the ring for Cruiserweight Cup action.  Then, "Back In Black" by AC/DC blared over the speakers as 'No Gimmicks Needed' Chris Candido made his way out to the ring.  Both these two are looking for their first win in Pool A as Rios is 0-1 and Candido is 0-2.  Candido managed to use his strength to ground Rios and slow him down in this match.  The ending would see Rios go for a springboard armdrag but Candido countered it with a powerslam.  Candido headed up top for a flying headbutt but Rios caught up to him.  Rios went up and hit a top rope frankensteiner for the one ... two ... THR ... NO!  Candido kicked out!  Rios went back up top for a Moonsault but Candido crotched him.  Candido went up for the Blond Bombshell but Rios countered it with a backdrop off the top.  Rios then came off with the Moonsault for the one ... two ... THREE!  Essa Rios moves to 1-1 while Candido drops to 0-3.

WINNER: Essa Rios in 5:41.

Rating: ** 3/4

The Coach got some comments from the NGW World Tag Team Champions, The Dudley Boyz...

D-VON:  "Simon Diamond ... Swinger ... You had your shot, all you had to do was wait for it but no ... Instead, you violated the third commandment ... YOU FFFFFF ... MESSED WITH THE DUDLEY BOYZ!"

BUH BUH:  "Brother D-Von..."

D-VON:  "What?"

BUH BUH:  "What're we gonna do when we're done with Simon Diamond & Swinger?"

D-VON:  "Ohhh I think I do..."

BUH BUH:  "We're gonna take that delicate little flower, Dawn Marie, and PUT THAT BITCH THROUGH A TABLE!"

D-VON:  "TESTIFY!"

Match #2: The Acolytes v. The Dudley Boyz - Non-Title.  "El Cu Cuy" by Coal Chamber blasted over the speakers as The Acolytes, Faarooq and Bradshaw, made their way out to the ring.  Then, "Turn The Tables" by Saliva blared over the speakers as the NGW World Tag Team Champions, The Dudley Boyz headed out for non-title action.  The Dudleyz and The Acolytes have had their wars in the past few months and this one would be just as physical.  The Acolytes have been in a slump since dropping the belts and were looking to break out of that slump in a big way.  The ending would see D-Von go for the Reverse Neckbreaker on Faarooq but Faarooq shoved him off then caught D-Von with the Spinebuster!  Faarooq was out of it, went over and made the tag to Bradshaw.  Bradshaw sent D-Von into the ropes but D-Von ducked a big boot and hit a spinning elbowsmash!  Simon Diamond and Swinger rushed out but Buh Buh nailed Simon.  D-Von turned around and Bradshaw went for the Clothesline From Hell but D-Von ducked, sent Bradshaw into the ropes ... Buh Buh comes back in and 3D!  D-Von makes the cover on Bradshaw while Buh Buh ties up Faarooq for the one ... two ... THREE!  The Dudley Boyz are victorious!

WINNERS: The Dudley Boyz in 4:30.

Rating: * 1/2

Afterwards, Buh Buh and D-Von had some choice words for Simon & Swinger, telling them that the 3D would be their fate on Sunday.

'The Human Suplex Machine' Taz was shown with a shredded towel over his head...

TAZ:  "Tonight ... I got Goldust.  Goldust ... You know what we call people like you in the Hook?  [CENSORED]  As far as Jeff Jarrett goes ... Jarrett, I been doin' some reading.  I've been reading a lot of obituaries, so many in fact that I can predict yours.  Jeff Jarrett, DOA, May 26th, 2002, Chicago.  Cause of death?  Asphyxiation!  Don't worry, Jarrett, I didn't know what it meant at first either so let me dumb it down for ya ... it means you got CHOKED OUT against your will!  This Sunday, I will take your oxygen and I will take your U.S. Heavyweight Title.  I AM TAZ!  Beat me if you can ... SURVIVE IF I LET YOU!"

Match #3: Goldust v. Taz.  'Shattered Dreams' sounded over the speakers as 'The Bizzare One' Goldust made his way out to the ring.  Then, "War Machine" blared over the speakers as 'The Human Suplex Machine' Taz walked out to the ring.  Goldust heads into his 'Final Curtain Match' against The Sandman this Sunday at Animosity while Taz will get his reward for winning the Lord Of The Ring, a Submission Match for the NGW United States Heavyweight Title against 'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett.  Goldust tried to throw Taz off his game with his mind games but Taz wasn't interested in playing any games.  The ending would see Taz go for a Head & Arm Tazplex but Goldust kissed him!  Taz wiped his face and knocked Goldust's head off with a lariat!  Taz wiped off his face some more then went to pick up Goldust.  Taz sent Goldust into the ropes but Goldust came off and threw powder but Taz ducked and the referee got some of it.  The Sandman bolted out to the ring and drilled Goldust in the head with the singapore cane then Taz grabbed Goldust in the Tazmission!  The referee cleared his eyes and saw Goldust tapping out!  Taz continues his momenteum heading into Animosity.

WINNER: Taz in 4:32.

Rating: *

Afterwards, Jeff Jarrett snuck up on Taz and shattered a guitar over the knee of Taz!  Jarrett grabbed Taz's leg and locked him in a figure four leglock!  Taz was in a lot of pain as Jarrett wouldn't release the hold.  NGW officials rushed out to pull Jarrett off but the damage had been done.

The Coach got some comments from 'The Whole F'n Show' Rob Van Dam...

VAN DAM:  "If Eddy Guerrero wants to get his ass kicked by Stone Cold tonight ... that's cool ... But Eddy, as tough as Stone Cold is, as much as he kicks your ass tonight, it's gonna be nothing compared to ass kicking you're gonna get from RVD this Sunday.  When you mess with everybody's favorite wrestler ... when you mess with the Whole F'N Show ... when you mess with Rob Van Dam ... You're messing with the best.  You're not better then me, Guerrero, but then again no one is so you're just gonna have to get used to never gonna be ROB VAN DAM!"

Match #4: Scott Vick v. Rob Van Dam.  "(sic)" by Slipknot blasted over the speakers as The Flock's 'Sick' Scott Vick headed out to the ring.  Then, "Walk" by Pantera blared over the speakers as 'The Whole F'N Show' Rob Van Dam made his way out to the ring.  The insanely popular Rob Van Dam heads into a one-on-one match with Eddy Guerrero this Sunday at Animosity in a battle of the Frog Splashes.  Scott Vick did his best to take the fight to RVD but Van Dam is on the top of his game and just seemed to be in control throughout the match.  The ending would see Van Dam send Vick into the corner, backflip and charge in but Vick moved.  Vick planted RVD with a DDT and went out to the apron.  Vick came in with a springboard clotheslien but Van Dam ducked underneath.  Van Dam drilled Vick with a roundhouse kick then lept up top and came off with the Five Star Frog Splash for the academic one ... two ... THREE!  Rob Van Dam looks strong heading into Animosity.

WINNER: Rob Van Dam in 4:20.

Rating: ** 1/4

The Coach got some comments from the NGW World Champion, "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner...

STEINER:  "Who does Stone Cold Steve Austin think he is?  I didn't come out there earlier because I don't take orders from anybody, especially white trash.  Stone Cold said that I struck out ... Nah, I'm Big Poppa Pump, I always drive it outta the park.  The way I see it is this ... You tried to beat me, you failed, STRIKE ONE!  You let your guard down and I took out your knee, STRIKE TWO!  You got knocked out, STRIKE THREE!  What makes you think its gonna be any different this Sunday?  It won't.  So when I raise that World Championship over my head again at Animosity, the time won't be Austin 3:16, it'll be Steiner 6:32 cause I'm twice the man you'll ever be!"

Match #5: Psicosis v. Kaz Hayashi - Cruiserweight Cup (Pool B).  "Loco" by Coal Chamber blared over the speakers as Psicosis made his way out to the ring.  Then, "I Don't Mind" by Drain STH blared over the speakers as Kaz Hayashi headed out to the ring.  So far in Pool B, Kaz Hayashi has opened strong going 2-0 while Psicosis is 1-0.  One of these two men would have their unbeaten streak ended and neither wanted to be the first one to suffer a loss.  The ending would see Kaz go for an inverted bulldog but Psicosis countered it with an atomic drop then hit a spinning leg lariat.  Psicosis followed that up with a front layout suplex for the one ... two ... THR ... NO!  Psicosis headed up top for the Guillotine Legdrop but Kaz cut him off.  Kaz went up and hit a big superplex!  Kaz headed back up top and came off with the Senton Bomb!  NO! It misses!  Psicosis planted Kaz with a sit out power bomb then headed back up top and Guillotine Legdrop!  It hits! Psicosis makes the cover for the one ... two ... THREE!  Psicosis takes a big win to move to 2-0 while Kaz Hayashi drops to 2-1 and the great Cruiserweight action continues.

WINNER: Psicosis in 9:33.

Rating: *** 1/2

The Coach got some comments from Saturn before his match...

SATURN:  "I don't know what to say ... I got beat.  Plain and simple.  But you know what?  I hope Raven's real confident, real cocky heading into Animosity.  You know why that is?  Because I'm gonna beat Raven back into wallowing in self pity.  Raven likes to ask ... What about me?  What about Raven?  It's all about you this Sunday, Raven, but I'm gonna make you wish it wasn't..."

Match #6: Raven & Chris Kanyon & Devon Storm v. Saturn & Vampiro & Sabu.  "Come Out And Play" by Offspring blared over the speakers as Raven, Chris Kanyon, and 'Dangerous' Devon Storm headed out for this six man tag team matchup.  Then, "Beautiful People" by Marilyn Manson sounded over the speakers as Saturn, 'The Dark Angel' Vampiro, and 'The Human Highlight Reel' Sabu all made their way out together.  Raven and Saturn finally collide at Animosity in a Falls Count Anywhere match.  Chris Kanyon and Vampiro will attempt to settle their score in a rubber match.  Devon Storm and Sabu will face off in a Respect Match.  This would be solid back and forth action between these two units.  The ending would see Vampiro plant Kanyon with an uranage then call for the Vampiro Spike but Storm came in and planted Vampiro with a Mind Bender!  Sabu ran in and sent Storm to the outside then jumped out with a running somersault plancha.  Vampiro and Kanyon crawled to their corners ... Kanyon made the tag to Raven first.  Raven charged in but Vampiro made the tag to Saturn.  Saturn cleaned house on Raven then went to send him into the ropes but Raven reversed it and hit a drop toe hold.  Raven followed that up with a bulldog for two.  Raven went for the Evenflow DDT but Saturn countered it with a northern lights suplex for the one ... two ... THR ... NO! Kanyon broke it!  Vampiro came back in and took care of Kanyon.  Saturn went for a brain buster but Raven floated over and hit some forearms to the back of Saturn.  Raven bounced off the near ropes for a short arm lariat but Saturn scooped him up and spiked Raven with the Death Valley Driver!  Saturn didn't make the cover, instead he locked Raven in the Rings Of Saturn!  Raven wouldn't tap out or give up!  Raven screamed in pain but those screams soon turned into a smile then he passed out.  The ref checked the arm three times, it fell three times.  Saturn wins this one over Raven with the Rings Of Saturn but Raven seemed to enjoy the pain!

WINNERS: Saturn, Vampiro and Sabu in 6:44.

Rating: **

We then headed to a video promo set to "Ride Of Your Life" by Nuerotica for NGW's next Pay-Per-View offering ... NGW ANIMOSITY ... The event comes to you on May 26th, live from the All-State Arena in Chicago, IL on Pay-Per-View!  'STONE COLD' STEVE AUSTIN ... 'BIG POPPA PUMP' SCOTT STEINER ... ONE ON ONE FOR THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP!  AUSTIN-STEINER - Enough said!

Main Event: Eddy Guerrero v. Steve Austin.  "Siempre Peligroso" by Cypress Hill blared over the speakers Eddy Guerrero headed out to the ring.  Guerrero will go one-on-one with the man he claims 'stole' the Frog Splash from him, Rob Van Dam, at Animosity.  Then, "Glass Shatters" by Disturbed blared over the speakers as 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin made his way out to the ring.  Stone Cold heads into the huge main event at Animosity as he challenges 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner for the NGW World Championship.  Austin called out Steiner at the top of the show but instead, Eddy Guerrero came out and mocked the Texas Rattlesnake which isn't exactly a smart move.  Austin and Guerrero would go at it here in a very good match as Guerrero frustrated Austin at times by picking up the pace and using every dirty trick that he knows to hold the advantage over Austin.  Guerrero knew that he couldn't match Austin in a brawl so he tried to keep the match on the mat and out wrestle Austin.  The closing moments of the match would see Guerrero chop Austin on the ropes.  Austin chopped back but Guerrero went to the eyes.  Guerrero sent Austin into the ropes but Austin exploded off with a Thesz Press and a flurry of fists to Guerrero!  Austin got up and dropped an elbow on Guerrero for two.  Austin sent Guerrero into the ropes but Guerrero caem off with a leg lariat.  Guerrero went out to the apron and came in with a slingshot somersault senton but Austin got the knees up.  Austin went hit a suplex on Guerrero for 2 1/2.  Austin went for another suplex but Guerrero blocked it and spiked Austin with a brain buster!  Guerrero covered Austin for the one ... two ... THR ... NO! Austin kicked out!  Guerrero was livid and screamed at the referee.  Austin came from behind and knocked Guerrero into the referee.  Austin went for a german suplex but Guerrero back kicked him low then hit a side suplex.  Guerrero headed up top for the Frog Splash but Van Dam was out!  Van Dam shoves Guerrero off the top rope!  Guerrero got to his feet first and exchanged words with Van Dam.  Guerrero turns around and STUNNER!  Austin covers Guerrero for the one ... two ... THREE!  'Stone Cold' Steve Austin gets a big win over Eddy Guerrero heading into Animosity!

WINNER: Steve Austin in 12:10.

Rating: ***

Afterwards, Scott Steiner hit the ring with the lead pipe and came up from behind Austin.  But Austin turned around and the last second, kicked the pipe out of Steiner's hand and drilled him with a Stunner!  Austin saw the World Championship on the mat and picked it up.  Austin called for a few beers then climbed the turnbuckle and toasted the World Championship belt!  Will this celebration be for real this Sunday at Animosity?
