NGW Ring Wars - April 29 / 2002

-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-==-

"Praise" by Sevendust played in the background of the NGW Ring Wars opening sequence which featured a montage of various New Generation Wrestling superstars such as; Saturn, Too Cold Scorpio, The Sandman, Chris Kanyon, The Dudley Boyz, Taz, The Acolytes, William Regal, Sabu, Eddy Guerrero, Vampiro, Raven, Jeff Jarrett, Rob Van Dam, 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and more.  This is New Generation Wrestling and this is RING WARS...

We entered the arena with Joey Styles and Paul Heyman welcoming us to the show.  Tonight; 'Dangerous' Devon Storm and 'The Human Highlight Reel' Sabu will battle it out in another Extreme Rules match.  We have the debut of two well known Cruiserweights as Taka Michinoku faces Essa Rios.  Raven will go one-on-one with Vampiro and much more...

["Siempre Peligroso" by Cypress Hill]

Eddy Guerrero walked out of the entrance.  Guerrero shuffled his feet then cupped his ear and was met with boos from the crowd.  Guerrero looked on with disgust of the fans as he continued down and into the ring where he took the microphone...

GUERRERO:  "Relax ... Relax ... I know you're all up in arms because of what I did to your so called favorite wrestler last week but once you hear my side of the story, you'll understand ... SHUT UP AND LET ME TELL MY SIDE OF THE STORY!  You people ... You need to look at the big picture.  I wasn't trying to hurt Rob Van Dam, I was just trying to show him what happens to a thief.  See, long before there was a R-V-D, Eddy Guerrero was down in Mexico coming off the top with the Frog Splash.  Now I see that Rob Van Dam has seen fit to steal my move?  You don't steal from Eddy Guerrero and get away with it.  We can solve this the easy way ... You stop using the Frog Splash or we can solve this the hard way ... Guardo el batir de su everytime del asno que usted roba de mí!  I keep beating your ass everytime you steal from me!  What's it gonna be, RVD?"

["Walk" by Pantera]

'The Whole F'n Show' Rob Van Dam walked out onto the stage with a microphone...

VAN DAM:  "Eddy Guerrero, there's no trademark on a wrestling move ... You screwed me last week, plain and simple.  But I know what's really going on here.  You're jealous ... Everytime I fly through the air with that FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH, I make you look bad.  You're Frog Splash is good, maybe four stars but you're no Rob Van Dam.  You can't do what I do, but you don't have to get all pissed off about it because nobody can do what RVD does.  That's why I'm the WHOLE F'N SHOW!"

GUERRERO:  "It sounds like we're gonna have to do things the hard way..."

VAN DAM:  "Oh that's cool with me ... Why don't you try and beat my ass in the ring?"

GUERRERO:  "You got it ... I'll beat your ass at Animosity but you won't even get a chance to hit that Frog Splash..."

VAN DAM:  "Animosity?  Cool but I want some of you tonight!"

GUERRERO:  "You want me tonight?  How about we have ourselves a little tag team match ... I'll bring the United States Heavyweight Champion and you bring whoever you can find that'll team up with you..."

Just then Jeff Jarrett snuck up from behind and cranked Van Dam over the head with a guitar!  Jarrett picked up the microphone...

JARRETT:  "Van Dam, you punk, you don't stand a chance against The Chosen One and Eddy Guerrero tonight.  Choke on that, slapnuts!"

["War Machine"]

Jarrett's eyes almost buldged out of his skull with that music.  Jarrett seemed frozen in fear.  TAZ walked out of the entrance, Jarrett backed off and Taz just shook his head.  Jarrett tried to sucker punch Taz but Taz blocked it and hammered on Jarrett then locked him in the Tazmission!  Jarrett's tapping out!  Eddy Guerrero ran up the ramp to help but Van Dam tripped up Guerrero and started hammering on him!  NGW Officials rushed out to break the four men up.  What a main event tag we'll have tonight, Rob Van Dam and Taz against Eddy Guerrero and Jeff Jarrett!

Opening Match: Taka Michinoku v. Essa Rios.  "A Touch Of Evil" by AC/DC blared over the speakers as Taka Michinoku made his way out to the ring, making his NGW debut.  Then, "Papi Chulo" by Funkdoobiest blared over the speakers as Essa Rios headed out to the ring, also making his NGW debut.  Styles and Heyman talked about the beginnings of a Cruiserweight Division in NGW and that many more great Cruiserweights are on their way.  Next week, we will begin a Cruiserweight Cup which will eventually lead to the crowning of a Cruiserweight Champion in several weeks.  Michinoku and Rios pulled out all the stops to impress in their debut and impress they did.  The ending would see Essa slap and chop Taka then go to send him into the ropes but Taka reversed it.  Essa came off with a spinning leg lariat!  Essa went up top and came off with a shooting star press but Taka rolled out of the way!  Taka came in with a springboard dropkick on Essa Rios for the one ... two ... THR ...   The Coach got some comments from The Acolytes...

The Coach got some comments from the team that will challenge The Dudley Boyz for the NGW World Tag Team Titles at Animosity, Simon Diamond and Swinger along with Dawn Marie...

SIMON:  "You want to know what Simon thinks of The Dudley Boyz?  Simon thinks The Dudley Boyz are overrated ... No, SIMON SAYS that the Dudley Boyz are overrated.  Sure, they won a brawl against The Acolytes but can they get in there and wrestle with us?  Simon Says they don't have what it takes.  Simon Says you're looking at the next World Tag Team Champions and everyone knows what Simon Says comes true."

["Enter Sandman" by Metallica]

'The Extreme Icon' The Sandman walked out to the ring with a bandage on his face after being hit with that fireball by Goldust last week.  Terri was with him.  Sandman took a microphone...

SANDMAN:  "Goldust ... You raised the bar last week.  Just when I thought it couldn't be raised anymore, you pulled it off.  You burned me but not as bad as you're gonna get burned.  This has all got to come to an end ... Let's leave the women at home ... Leave my family out of it and let's settle this like men, once and for all."

'24 Karat Pictures Presents ... A Shattered Dreams Production ... GOLDUST!'

GOLDUST:  "Sandman, you want to take me out forever.  You want to get rid of me.  Didn't you know? They can only kill me with a golden bullet - Peter O'Toole, Lawrence of Arabia, 1962.  You don't have that golden bullet, Sandman but you're right, it's time to end this.  It's time for one of us to pass.  It is time for the Final Curtain to be drawn on one of our careers.  One more match ... One last match ... And then for one us it will all be over.  Until then ... may we share a kiss, Sandman?  So we can kiss your career goodbye.  You will be gone and you will be forgotten but no one will ever forget the name of GOLDUST!"

We then headed to a video promo set to "Ride Of Your Life" by Nuerotica for NGW's next Pay-Per-View offering ... NGW ANIMOSITY ... The event comes to you on May 26th, live from the All-State Arena in Chicago, IL on Pay-Per-View!

["I Need A Freak" by Too $hort]

The NGW World Championship, 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner headed out to the ring on his own.  Steiner stepped into the ring and took the microphone...

STEINER:  "I showed up here tonight and I heard that Stone Cold Steve Austin is looking for me.  What is he stupid?  Stone Cold doesn't want none of Big Poppa Pump.  Austin, I took out your knee a few weeks ago but that was just the beginning.  I'm gonna tear you apart, limb from limb, until there's nothing left of you.  Just like everyone that's stepped in the ring with the greatest athlete in the world today, when its all over, Big Poppa Pump will be standing over you still the World Champion.  You see my motto is winning isn't everything, it's the only thing.  And if I gotta break bones, bust knees, break rules, I'm gonna do that cause nobody can stop me."

["Glass Shatters" by Disturbed]

Out came the man that'll get his shot at stopping Scott Steiner at Animosity, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin.  Austin's knee was still taped up as he walked out to the ring.  Austin had a microphone with him as he entered the ring...

AUSTIN:  "If you wanna see Stone Cold Steve Austin stop Scott Steiner, gimme a hell yeah!  (HELL YEAH!)  Scott Steiner, I've been waiting a long time to stand in this ring, face to face and give you piece of my mind.  So if you'll allow me a few moments of your precious time, I'd like to tell you exactly what Stone Cold Steve Austin thinks of Scott Steiner.  I think you're big ... You're strong ... You're dominant ... You're ruthless ... You're the Champion ... You've had a great run ... but you're a jackass ... A jacked up jackass ... You're reign is almost over ... You're lookin' at the man's that is gonna whip your ass and end your title reign."

STEINER:  "You've got no chance, Austin.  You can't beat me, no one can.  You call yourself the world's toughest son of a bitch ... well you're looking at a son of a bitch that's tougher then you.  You're looking at a genetic freak ... You're looking at the largest arms in the world!"

  Steiner flexed his massive bicep...

AUSTIN:  "You like to flex your muscles?  Well, if you don't mind, I'd like to flex a few muscles of my own..."

STEINER:  "Let's see what you've got..."

AUSTIN:  "Look at these muscles..."

Austin gave Steiner two middle fingers right in the face...

AUSTIN:  "Your ass belongs to Stone Cold Steve Austin and that's the bottom line 'cause Stone Cold ..."

Steiner grabbed Austin's microphone and threw it down to the mat before he could finish...

STEINER:  "No ... Your ass belongs to Big Poppa Pump because no one is finer then..."

Austin grabbed Steiner's microphone and threw it down to the mat.  Stone Cold and Big Poppa Pump went face to face as the show came to a close.  What a war its gonna be in just a few weeks at Animosity...
