"Praise" by Sevendust played in the background of the NGW Ring
Wars opening sequence which featured a montage of various New Generation
Wrestling superstars such as; The Sandman, Too Cold Scorpio, DDP, Chris Kanyon,
The Dudley Boyz, Taz, The Acolytes, William Regal, Sabu, Vampiro, Raven, Jeff
Jarrett, Rob Van Dam, Scott Steiner, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and more. This is New Generation Wrestling RING WARS... We entered the
arena with Joey Styles and Paul Heyman hyping up NGW March Madness which is
just six days away on Pay-Per-View! Then
they set the stage for tonight and announced two big matches as 'The Chosen
One' Jeff Jarrett will defend the NGW United States Heavyweight Title against
'The Extreme Icon' The Sandman. Then in
the Main Event it will be the NGW World Champion, 'BIG POPPA PUMP' SCOTT
STEINER teaming with the NGW World Tag Team Champions, THE ACOLYTES to face off
against 'THE WHOLE F'N SHOW' ROB VAN DAM and THE DUDLEY BOYZ in a TABLE
MATCH! All that and so much more as we
head into March Madness... Opening Match: Simon Diamond & Swinger v.
Evolution. "Simon Says" by
Drain STH blared over the speakers as Dawn Marie led her team of Simon Diamond
and Swinger out to the ring for our first match. Then, "Intergalactic" by Beastie
Boys blasted over the speakers as Evolution, Jason Jett and Nova, headed out to
the ring. Evolution will team with
Saturn to take on Chris Kanyon, Devon Storm and Scott Vick of The Flock this
Sunday. This would be a solid tag team
match to kick things off. The ending
would see Jett go for a handspring elbow on Swinger but Swinger ducked and
planted Jett with the Swing Thing for the one ... two ... THR ... NO! Nova
broke the cover! Simon Diamond came in
and but Nova sent him out of the ring and jumped onto him with a twisting
plancha! Swinger went for a swinging
neckbreaker but Jett shoved him off, kicked him and power bombed Swinger! That's when he saw Devon Storm and Scott Vick
jump out of the crowd and go after Nova!
Swinger came from behind with a low blow, rolled up Jett with a handfull
of tights for the one-two-three! Simon
Diamond & Swinger steal a win! WINNERS: Simon Diamond and Swinger in 4:57. Rating: ** 1/4 Afterwards, Jason
Jett wasn't concerned with the loss and went right out after The Flock,
brawling with them on the outside until it was broken up! [backstage] The Coach got
some comments from the NGW World Champion, 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner
regarding his title defense against Van Dam in six days at March Madness... STEINER:
"When Rob Van Dam refers to himself as everybody's favorite
wrestler I hope he's right. There's
nothing I like more then seeing all those fat dumbass fans get upset and how
upset are they gonna be when the big bad booty daddy cripples their favorite
wrestler? RVD, the last time you went up
against the greatest athlete in the world, you ended up in a hospital. Do you know why you were in a hospital? Because I went easy on you. This Sunday, you won't be World Champion ...
you won't beat Big Poppa Pump ... you won't be in a hospital ... you'll be dead
and buried six feet under the earth! I'm
gonna beat you, I'm gonna hurt you, I'm gonna finish you and the largest arms
in the world will still be the World Champion!" Match #2: Chris Candido v. Sabu. "Back In Black" by AC/DC blared
over the speakers as one of NGW's most recent signee's 'No Gimmicks Needed'
Chris Candido made his way out to the ring.
Then, "Little Crazy" by Fight blared over the speakers as Bill
Alfonso led out 'The Human Highlight Reel' Sabu to the ring. Sabu is heading into a big match against
Raven this Sunday at March Madness.
Candido has faced Sabu in the past and would be a good matchup against
Sabu's daredevil style. The ending would
see Sabu go up top for a moonsault but Candido pushed the referee into the
ropes, crotching Sabu up top. Candido
went up and pounded on Sabu then set him up for the Blond Bombshell but Sabu
countered it with a frankensteiner!
Fonzie passed Sabu a chair and Sabu hit the Triple Jump Moonsault for
the one ... two ... THREE! Sabu gains
some momenteum heading into his confronation with Raven! WINNER: Sabu in 5:04. Rating: ** [backstage] The Coach got
some comments from 'The Whole F'n Show' Rob Van Dam in response to Scott
Steiner... VAN DAM: "I'm
tired of waiting, Steiner. I'm ready to shut you up. I'm ready to knock your teeth out with a Van
Daminator. I'm ready to hit you with a
Five Star Frog Splash. I'm ready to be
the World Champion. Hell I'm Rob Van
Dam, it's only fitting that I should be the World Champion. This Sunday, not only are you gonna find out
why I'm everybody's favorite wrestler but you're gonna find out why I'm the
WHOLE F'N SHOW!" Match #3: Chris Kanyon v. Too Cold Scorpio. "Immune" by Godsmack blasted over
the speakers as Chris Kanyon headed out to the ring. Then, "Bad Intenions" by Dr. Dre
blared over the speakers as Too Cold Scorpio made his way out to the ring. Chris Kanyon will team with Devon Storm and
Scott Vick to battle Saturn and Evolution this Sunday. This would be a pretty decent fast paced
match filled with action. The ending
would see Kanyon go for a thrust kick but Scorpio caught the foot and hit a
spinning mule kick. Scorpio went up for
a moonsault but Kanyon crotched him up top and hit a hangman's neckbreaker out
of the corner for the one ... two ... THR ... FOOT ON THE ROPES! Kanyon picked up Scorpio in a fireman's carry
but Scorpio dropped down the back and threw Kanyon through the ropes to the
outside. Scorpio jumped out with a
plancha but Kanyon moved out of the way.
Kanyon rolled into the ring, holding his knee. Diamond Dallas Page came through the crowd
and hit a Diamond Cutter on Scorpio on the floor then rolled him into the
ring! Kanyon picked up Scorpio and
finished him off with the Flatliner for the one ... two ... THREE! Chris Kanyon takes the win over Scorpio
thanks in part to DDP! WINNER: Chris Kanyon in 5:35. Rating: ** 3/4 [backstage] The Coach got
some comments from William Regal about his upcoming match tonight with Vampiro
and the Three Way Dance at March Madness which includes 'Stone Cold' Steve
Austin... REGAL:
"Listen to me, Vampiro, you disgusting, filthy swine. Last week, I tried to make you an offer. I was going to let you come join my side
because you seem like a hard working young lad.
Maybe you could've shined my boots or carried my luggage because that's
all that you're fit for. Instead, you
besmirched the great William Regal and now tonight just six days from March
Madness, I'm going to put you in your place, sunshine. As for Stone Cold Steve Austin, that
dispicable vulgar toerag didn't even know what hit him last week did he?" Match #4: William Regal v. Vampiro. "British Doom" by Jim Johnston
blared over the speakers as William Regal made his way out to the ring for our
next match. Then, "Kong At The
Gates" by The Misfits sounded over the speakers as 'The Dark Angel'
Vampiro stalked his way out to the ring.
This would be a preview for Sunday where William Regal, Vampiro and
Stone Cold Steve Austin will face off in a Three Way Dance with the winner
going to Lord Of The Ring in April to challenge the World Champion. Regal and Vampiro faced off a few weeks ago
on Ring Wars with Vampiro getting a big win.
During the match we cut backstage to see Steve Austin sitting in his
dressing room with a few cases of beer, watching the match. The ending of this match would see Regal go
for a german suplex but Vampiro elbowed off then slammed down Regal. Vampiro went up top and came off with a
phoenix senton but Regal rolled out of the way!
Regal planted Vampiro with a double underhook power bomb for the one ...
two ... THR ... NO! Vampiro kicked out!
Regal turned Vampiro over and went for the Regal Stretch but Vampiro
fought him off and got to the ropes.
Regal went for the British Neckbreaker but Vampiro shoved him off into
the referee. Vampiro planted Regal with
an uranage. Vampiro went to wake up the
referee and Regal went into his tights for the brass knuckles. Vampiro came back over and Regal went to deck
him but Vampiro blocked it, kicked Regal and grabbed the knux. Vampiro put the brass knuckles on and decked
Regal! The referee saw this and called
for the bell DISQUALIFYING Vampiro!
Vampiro and the crowd were irate!
Vampiro took off the knuckles and threw them down on Regal. WINNER: William Regal via DQ in 5:02. Rating: ** We cut to a
vignette with 'The Human Suplex Machine' Taz walking through the streets of Red
Hook, Brooklyn, New York. Taz will
challenge Jeff Jarrett for the NGW U.S. Heavyweight Title in a Street Fight
this Sunday... TAZ: "Jeff
Jarrett, I know you're watchin' so take the Willie Nelson outta the stereo and
listen up, brotha. You gotta be askin'
yourself what the hell is Taz doing in Red Hook this week? I'll tell you what I'm doin' Jarrett, I'm
training. I don't train in no gym, I
don't run laps, jump rope, nothin'. I
train in the Hook by comin' back and living on the streets. I sleep with the sewer rats and I fight for
every scrap of food so that I can survive.
Its gonna be a long, cold, vicious week out here, Jarrett. So when I walk into Philadelphia at March
Madness, I'm gonna be cold ... I'm gonna be hungry and I'm gonna be really ...
really pissed off. And Jarrett, you're
standing in my path of rage, brotha.
Beat me if you can ... SURVIVE IF I LET YOU!" Match #5: Jeff Jarrett (c) v. The Sandman - NGW United
States Heavyweight Title. "Cowboy" by Kid Rock blared over the
speakers as the NGW United States Heavyweight Champion, 'The Chosen One' Jeff
Jarrett headed out to the ring for this title defense. Then, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica
blared over the speakers as the challenger, 'The Extreme Icon' The Sandman made
his way out to the ring. If Jarrett can
get by The Sandman here he will defend the US Heavyweight Title against Taz in
a street fight this Sunday. The Sandman
has a chance to go into his huge grudge match against Goldust as the US
Heavyweight Champion. Jarrett did his
best to try not to brawl with The Sandman in this one. The ending would see Jarrett go for a single
arm DDT but Sandman ran him back into the corner. Sandman backed up and charged in but Jarrett
got a foot up. Jarrett went up top but
Sandman crotched him. Sandman went up
and hit a Heinnekenrana for the one ... two ... THR ... NO! Jarrett got a
shoulder up! Sandman picked up Jarrett
and planted him with a White Russian Legsweep!
That's when Sandman's young son Tyler ran out of the entrance screaming
'DADDY! DADDY! HELP!' The referee went
out to see what the kid was screaming about.
Out of nowhere, Goldust came into the ring and planted Sandman with the
Curtain Call! Tyler laughed and ran
away. Jarrett got to his feet and hit
the Stroke on The Sandman for the one ... two ... THREE! Jeff Jarrett retains the NGW United States
Heavyweight Title! WINNER: Jeff Jarrett in 6:05. Rating: 1/2* (Jeff Jarrett retained the NGW United States Heavyweight
Title.) ["Come Out And Play" by Offspring] Raven walked out
of the entrance much to surprise of Styles and Heyman, who didn't have Raven
scheduled to be out here tonight. Raven
walked into the ring, took a microphone and slouched down in the corner... RAVEN: "Don't
even think about cutting me off ... I came out here because I wanna know why
I'm not on the show tonight? In six
days, I face the so-called 'Human Highlight Reel' Sabu back in Barbed Wire City
but where's my TV time? Huh? Sabu got a tune-up match earlier ... where's
my tune-up match? What about me? WHAT ABOUT RAVEN? People like Joey Styles have said that the
only reason I challenged Sabu was because I'm afraid of Saturn. That I'm dodging Saturn. Do I look afraid? I am without a doubt the toughest man in
NGW. This Sunday I'm going to show Sabu
how strange it is that crying seems like laughter without the sound and how
raindrops taste like tears without the PAIN.
Sabu, you will feel my PAIN.
Quote the Raven ..." ["Hell Yeah" by Disturbed] Raven was
interrupted by the glass shattering and out came 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin with
a referee. Austin was in street clothes
and noticeably plastered. Austin got
into the ring and took a microphone... AUSTIN: "I
wasn't gonna let anyone ruin my night ... I was sitting back there slamming
back brews and no one was gonna ruin it, not even William Regal and
Vampiro. I was having a good time
watching the show but then you ruined it, Raven." RAVEN:
"What're you talking about?
I wasn't even talking about you." AUSTIN:
"Maybe my hearing is impaired because I thought I heard you refer
to yourself as the toughest man in NGW?
Is that right? Was I hearing you
correctly?" RAVEN: "It
was a figure of speech..." AUSTIN: "EH!
EH! I'll show you a figure of speech
[flips off Raven]. That right there is a
figure of speech. I may have had a few
beers ... ok, a lot of beers but I can still look across the ring and see a
jackass ... a crybaby ... a whiner ... a loser ... a piece of trash! See right now you've got your little beedy
eyes locked on the WORLD'S TOUGHEST SON OF A BITCH! What you said before wasn't a figure of
speech, no, not to Stone Cold it wasn't.
To Stone Cold it was a challenge and a challenge that I accept." RAVEN: "Wait
just a damn minute, I've got no problem with you, I didn't come out here
looking to fight 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin!" AUSTIN:
"What? What about
Raven? What? You're not scared of Stone Cold are you? What?
Consider this ass whipping your tune-up match for Sabu! If you want Stone Cold to stomp a mudhole in
Raven's ass and walk it dry, gimme a HELL YEAH! (HELL YEAH!)" Match #6: Raven v. Steve Austin - No DQ. Austin went over to Raven and started
stomping a mudhole in him in the corner as the referee rang the bell for this
impromptu match. Austin took a moment to
take of his shirt and Raven rolled to the outside to try and get himself
together and even get away. Raven
started heading towards the back but Austin went right out after him. Austin caught up to Raven and pounded away on
him. Austin came at Raven but Raven
backdropped Austin into the crowd. Raven
went back to the ring and took off his jacket.
Austin made his way back in and Raven stomped on him as he came in. Raven stomped Austin then choked away on
him. As Austin pulled himself up, Raven
drilled him with a kneelift sending him back out of the ring. Raven went out after Austin and tossed him
into the ring steps. Raven was ready to
fight and he was in for the fight of his life here against the Texas
Rattlesnake. Stone Cold and Raven fought
it out in one wild intense brawl. It
seemed like they spent more time out of the ring then in it. This is exactly what Raven doesn't need just
days away from his match with Sabu. The
same can be said from Austin as this match took a lot out of him and he's gotta
go into the Three Way Dance with William Regal and Vampiro in six days. The ending would see Raven send Austin into
the ropes, Austin came off with a Thesz Press but Raven stepped back,
hotshotting Austin on the top rope.
Raven went for a piledriver, yelling out "I'm gonna break his
neck!" Raven went for it but Austin countered it with a backdrop! Both men struggled to their feet and Austin
hammered Raven with right hands. Raven
ducked one and kicked Austin. Raven's
going for the Evenflow DDT! Austin
shoves Raven off, kick ... STUNNER!
Austin covers Raven for the one ... two ... THREE! 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin has earned a very
hard fought win over Raven! WINNER: Steve Austin in 8:08. Rating: *** Afterwards, The
Flock hit the ring and jumped on Austin!
A tired Stone Cold tried to fight them off but it was three on one ...
Wait here comes Saturn ... Evolution ... Sabu!
They're taking care of The Flock!
Raven tries to escape but Sabu flys out of the ring with a somersault
plancha onto Raven! What carnage! Main Event: Scott Steiner & The Acolytes v. Rob Van
Dam & The Dudley Boyz - Table Match.
"I Am Hated" by SlipKnot blasted over the speakers as the NGW
World Champion, 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner headed out to the ring with his
favorite freak Midajah. "El Cu
Cuy" by Coal Chamber blared over the speakers as the NGW World Tag Team
Champions, The Acolytes made their way out.
Then, "Dead Cell" by Papa Roach blared over the speakers as
The Dudley Boyz headed out to the ring.
"Walk" by Pantera blasted over the speakers as 'The Whole F'n
Show' Rob Van Dam made his way out to the ring.
The first team to put a member of the other through a table here would
be the winner. Lots of bad blood here as
The Dudley Boyz will challenge The Acolytes for the NGW World Tag Team
Champions this Sunday at March Madness while Scott Steiner will defend the NGW
World Championship against Rob Van Dam.
The last time RVD and Steiner met, Steiner power bombed Van Dam over the
top and through a table as part of the vicious assault that put Van Dam out of
action for several weeks. Now RVD is
back and looking to take the World Championship from Big Poppa Pump and he'll
get his opportunity this Sunday. The
closing moments of the match would see a pier six brawl break out with everyone
fighting on the floor except for D-Von and Faarooq in the ring. Faarooq went for a Spinebuster but D-Von came
off with a spinning elbowsmash. Buh Buh
Ray Dudley came back in the ring and The Dudleyz took out Faarooq with a
3D! Bradshaw came in and just crushed
D-Von with the Clothesline From Hell!
Buh Buh Ray caught Bradshaw with a Buh Buh Bomb! Scott Steiner came in with a steel chair and
drilled Buh Buh in the head! Rob Van
Dam's up top and Van Daminator on Steiner!
Van Dam set up a table and placed Steiner on it ... RVD's up top ...
FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH! It hits! Steiner goes through the table! Van Dam has won this! WINNERS: Rob Van Dam and The Dudley Boyz in 10:48. Rating: ** 1/2 We ended with Van
Dam holding his midsection and having his hand raised in the air. Can Rob Van Dam hit the Five Star Frog Splash
on Big Poppa Pump this Sunday? If he
does, we will no doubt have a brand new World Champion! Or will Big Poppa Pump make good on his
promise to send Van Dam to the morgue?
