"Praise" by Sevendust played in the background of the NGW Ring Wars opening sequence which featured a montage of various New Generation Wrestling superstars such as; The Sandman & Too Cold Scorpio, DDP, Chris Kanyon, The Dudley Boyz, Taz, William Regal, Sabu, Raven, Jeff Jarrett, Rob Van Dam, Scott Steiner, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin and more.  This is New Generation Wrestling RING WARS...

We entered the arena as Joey Styles and Paul Heyman welcomed us to NGW Ring Wars and ran down the lineup for tonight.  Too Cold Scorpio battles Simon Diamond, The Dudley Boyz versus Evan Karagias & Jamie Knoble, Devon Storm battles Jason Jett, Marc Mero takes on Balls Mahoney, Saturn faces off against Sabu, and in our Main Event, Rob Van Dam teams with Al Snow against Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett.

We then cut backstage to see 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin arriving to the arena in his truck, looking extremely pissed off...

Opening Match: Josh Matthews v. Chris Harvard - Tryout Match.  We cut back to the ring where our next two competitors, Josh Matthews and Chris Harvard from Tough Enough fame in the ring.  Styles explained that these two are getting a huge opportunity with a live tryout on national TV with NGW.  Matthews and Harvard exchanged some basic wrestling counters for about a minute when ...

["Hell Yeah" by Disturbed]

'Stone Cold' Steve Austin charged out to the ring and rolled right into the ring.  Austin drilled Harvard with a Stunner!  Austin flipped off Matthews and hit a Stunner!  Austin kicked Harvard and Matthews out of the ring then got a microphone...

AUSTIN:  "That sumbitch, William Regal, hit me in the damn head with brass knuckles last week cause he don't have the backbone to fight Stone Cold Steve Austin like a man!  If you wanna see William Regal get his ass whipped by Stone Cold Steve Austin, gimme a hell yeah!  (HELL YEAH!)  What?  (HELL YEAH!) WHAT? (HELL YEAH!)  Ya damn right.  William Regal, show backbone for once in your miserable life, bring ya little stuck up ass down that ramp and face Stone Cold like a man!  What?  I said, get your ass out here!  I got all night, Regal, and I'll wait in this ring and Stunner every piece of trash that walks down that aisle until you come out here."

The Coach jogged down the ramp and into the ring...

COACH:  "Stone Cold ... excuse me ... William Regal hasn't arrived yet."

AUSTIN:  "Is that right?"

COACH:  "Yes..."

AUSTIN:  "Well since you're giving messages, how about you give one to William Regal for Stone Cold..."

COACH:  "Sure, what is it?"

Austin kicked Coach and drilled him with a Stunner!

AUSTIN:  "Tell him that his ass belongs to Stone Cold Steve Austin and that's the bottom line ... What? ... CAUSE STONE COLD SAID SO!"

Stone Cold headed up the ramp to the back as we went to our first commercial break...

THR ... NO!  Scorpio called for the Tumbleweed but Dawn Marie got up on the apron.  Scorpio turned around and Simon hit the Simonizer for the one-two-THREE!  Simon Diamond surprises Scorpio and takes the win, is this a sign of things to come at Initial Assault?

The Dudley Boyz.  "You Know It's Hard" by Crystal Method blared over the speakers as Evan Karagias & Jamie Knoble headed out to the ring.  Then, "Dead Cell" by Papa Roach blared over the speakers as The Dudley Boyz headed out to the ring.  This would be a decent enough back and forth match.  The ending would see Knoble hit a DDT on Buh Buh then go up top.  Knoble came off with a flying legdrop but Buh Buh rolled out of the way.  The two crawled over and made the hot tags.  D-Von cleaned house on Karagias and Knoble then the Dudleyz hit back suplex, neckbreaker combo on Karagias but Knoble broke up the count.  Buh Buh and Knoble brawled to the outside.  D-Von hit a spinning elbowsmash on Karagias.  Rena Mero came out and got on the apron, distracting the referee.  Marc Mero came from the crowd and drilled D-Von with a lead pipe.  Karagias went up top and hit the Tidal Wave for the one ... two ... ["War Machine Survive Mix" by The Slashtones]

'The Human Suplex Machine' Taz walked out to the ring and took the microphone from the ring announcer...

TAZ:  "We gots a Pay-Per-View coming up in six days and ain't nobody been lined up to get choked out by the one man crime spree.  What I want to know is if there's anybody back there that has the balls to step in the ring with the Human Suplex Machine at Initial Assault, get dumped on their head and choked out.  I don't care who it is, I don't care how small or how big you are, you'll get your ass beat.  I'm beggin' for one of you rat bastards to step up to the plate..."

["Helping Hand" by StainD]

Diamond Dallas Page walked out to the ring with a big grin on his face.  DDP had a microphone...

DDP:  "It's me ... it's me ... it's D .. D .. P!  Taz, I've been watching you for a long time and I've been listening to you talk about how you're so miserable, well DDP is out here to tell you that I like you ... All these people like you ... And I'm going to help you, like you.  From what I can tell, you're sensitive about your height but think about it this way, there's many succesful short people like ... uh ... Gary Coleman, yeah, Gary Coleman.  Its hard to believe but he's even shorter then you.  You need to learn to embrace your height, instead of walking around angry all the time.  I know I'm not going to help you change overnight but all I need is for you to try.  I'm willing to try and do anything in my power to help you, like you."

Taz grabbed DDP and put him in the Tazmission!  Taz violently choked DDP out then threw him down onto the canvas and picked up the microphone...

TAZ:  "You can help me by bringing your lame ass to the pay-per-view ... BEAT ME IF YOU CAN!  SURVIVE IF I LET YOU!"

Taz threw down the microphone and left the ring...

Match #6: Saturn v. Sabu.  "Real Solution #9" by White Zombie blasted over the speakers as Saturn made his way out to the ring first.  Then, "Little Crazy" by Fight blared over the speakers as Bill Alfonso led out 'The Human Highlight Reel' Sabu out to the ring.  As Sabu played to the crowd, Saturn grabbed the microphone from the ring announcer, "Hey Sabu! I came here for a fight, you came here for a fight, I got no problem with weapons so how about we take this to the extreme?  No DQ's! No Countouts!"  Sabu nodded in agreement.  The referee rang the bell and Saturn and Sabu circled each other, touching hands in good sportsmanship.  That was the last good natured act as from then on Saturn and Sabu tore into each other in a grueling brawl.  The ending would see Saturn go for a brain buster but Sabu dropped down the back and tried a german suplex but Saturn elbowed him off and hit a legsweep.  Saturn then hit a springboard dropkick on Sabu for two.  Saturn went for the Death Valley Driver but Sabu dropped out and hit a DDT!  Alfonso passed a chair to Sabu as he went up top!  Sabu hit an Atomic Arabian Facebuster on Saturn!  Wait a minute ... RAVEN is back!  Raven jumped into the ring and spiked Sabu with an Evenflow DDT on the chair.  Raven dragged Saturn on top for the one ... two ... THREE!  Saturn wins thanks to Raven!

WINNER: Saturn in 5:19.

Rating: **

After the match, Raven helped Saturn up to his feet.  Saturn was confused and Raven outstretched his arms then left the ring and headed out through the crowd.  What is Raven's agenda?

Main Event: Jeff Jarrett & Scott Steiner v. Al Snow & Rob Van Dam.  "Cowboy" by Kid Rock hit as 'The Chosen One' Jeff Jarrett headed out to the ring first, guitar in hand.  "I Am Hated" by SlipKnot blasted over the speakers as 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner walked out with his favorite freak Midajah.  Then, "Breathe" by Prodigy blared over the speakers as Al Snow with Head came out to the ring.  "Walk" by Pantera blasted over the speakers as 'The Whole F'N Show' Rob Van Dam headed out to the ring.  This would be a preview of sorts for Initial Assault where Jeff Jarrett and Al Snow will battle for the vacant NGW United States Heavyweight Title.  Scott Steiner and Rob Van Dam will square off in one half of the four man tournament for the NGW World Championship.  There would be lots of good heated action in this one as both teams seemed to mesh well together.  The closing moments of the match would see Steiner go for a gorilla press on RVD but RVD dropped down and hit an enzuigiri.  Van Dam followed that up with a rolling somersault senton for two!  Van Dam hit some punches on Steiner then went for a roundhouse kick but Steiner ducked and Van Dam hit the referee!  Steiner went for an overhead belly-to-belly but Van Dam blocked it and hit the roundhouse kick this time!  Jarrett came in but was cut off by Al Snow!  Snow hit a series of headbutts on Jarrett then Van Dam went up top and came off with a Five Star Frog Splash on the Chosen One!  Snow knocked Steiner out of the ring and went for a plancha but Steiner moved!  Steiner came back in and brawled with Van Dam until Snow pulled Steiner out of the ring.  RVD turned around and Jarrett went for a DDT but Van Dam countered it with a northern lights suplex!  The referee crawled over for the count for two.  Steiner came back in with a chair but Snow tripped up Steiner and Van Dam connected with a Van Daminator!  BOOOOOO!  BULLLLL SHIIIIIIT! Is what the crowd started chanting as the referee called for the bell and DISQUALIFIED Van Dam!

WINNERS: Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner by DQ in 12:58.

Rating: *** 1/2

We returned from our final break with a shot out in the parking lot where a black limousine finally pulled up to the building.  The driver got out and opened the door.  William Regal stepped out, screaming at him about his bloody American incompetence and that the show was pretty much over.  Stone Cold jumped Regal, hammering him with punches.  Austin smacked Regal's head into the car then started pounding him through the backstage area.  Austin took Regal through the curtain then down the ramp, still wailing on him.  Austin rolled Regal into the ring and continued to beat the stuffing out of Regal.  Scott Steiner ran into the ring and drilled Austin from behind.  Austin tried to fight back but Regal got back to his feet and double teamed Austin with Steiner.  That was until ... Rob Van Dam ran down into the ring and evened things up.  Van Dam took Steiner and brawled with him.  Austin came back on Regal, kicked him and took him out with a Stunner!  Van Dam nailed Steiner with a spin kick.  Steiner staggered around and got hit with a Stunner from Austin.  Austin and Van Dam are face to face for a moment until Austin just kicks RVD and hits him with a Stunner!  Austin has laid out William Regal, Scott Steiner, and Rob Van Dam with Stunners!  Will Stone Cold Steve Austin stand ontop these three men at Initial Assault and become the first ever NGW World Champion?  Or will one of those three men take Austin out of the tournament and stake claim as the first NGW World Champion?  We'll find out, this Sunday, live on Pay-Per-View!
