--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-- NGW Revenge - September 15 / 2002 --=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-- MCI Center in Washington, DC --=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-- "Room to
Breathe" by Project Wyze played in background of a video montage highlighting
the events leading up to the main matches here tonight at NGW REVENGE. Tonight; Chris Kanyon is on the outs with the
Flock after a mistake allowed Randy Orton to upset Raven. Raven has stated that Kanyon must defeat
Orton tonight and deliver on his surprise or he will be exiled from The
Flock. The Luchadores of the
Cruiserweight Division have been in embroiled in conflict. After Psicosis was unable to beat Essa Rios,
he brought in Super Crazzy to help him in the rematch. Essa Rios and La Parka take on Psicosis and
Super Crazy, Lucha Libre Rules. Konnan
made his presence known a month ago joining the Wolfpac. Konnan looks to do the Wolfpac's dirty work
and take out Vampiro tonight.
'Dangerous' Devon Storm found himself without a partner and without
direction. His old friend, Daffney
showed up to provide that direction, the World Cruiserweight Title. Storm has gone on a streak of wins over top
cruiserweights and Rey Misterio Jr. has offered him a shot at the title
tonight. The Dudley Boyz made a bold
statement putting Kane and Raven through tables in one night. Buh Buh Ray and D-Von look to regain the
World Tag Team Titles from Raven and Kane in a Double Tables match. Brock Lesnar has been virtually unbeatable
and shown very little weakness since Chris Jericho brought this former 2-time
NCAA Heavyweight Champion into NGW.
Lesnar looks to take the next step and become the U.S. Heavyweight
Champion, that is unless 'The Human Suplex Machine' Taz makes good on his word
to choke out Brock Lesnar. The Wolfpac
has proven there is strength in numbers in their fight against Booker T. Booker refuses to stay down but one man can't
overcome the odds so Booker T will bring a partner tonight to face Kevin Nash
and Jeff Jarrett. If Booker's team loses
then Booker T can never lay a hand on the Wolfpac again. Last month at SuperClash, Rob Van Dam and
Chris Jericho were set to collide in a grudge match after RVD broke Jericho's
nose. The match was changed to a number
one contenders match. Rob Van Dam scored
the pin on Jericho but Jericho actually had his shoulder up. RVD went on later that night to unseat Scott
Steiner for the World Championship.
Chris Jericho felt he was robbed and rightfully so. Rob Van Dam has given Chris Jericho a shot at
the World Championship tonight but if Jericho loses, he has to shake Rob Van
Dam's hand. All of that and more tonight
at NGW REVENGE... We entered the
MCI Center as Joey Styles and Paul Heyman welcomed us to Revenge and thanked
everyone for ordering the event. Then
they sent us to the ring for action... Opening Match: Chris Kanyon v. Randy Orton. "Immune" by Godsmack blasted over
